Our room was spacious, modern and very clean. There was a mosquito screen on the window which allowed us to have fresh air. The town is about a 5 min. drive from Novo Mesto. The location is very quiet and the surrounding area is beautiful. The stores and restaurants were closed when we checked in so the owner was so helpful and gave us a couple of yogurts. The breakfast was abundant, varied and of excellent quality. We would definitely stay there again.

Hotel Gostilna Vovko is family run guest house and boasts a long tradition. The restaurant is spread in several smaller dining areas and decorated in a rustic, yet elegant style, with heavy use of local wood. Guests can taste traditional dishes of Dolenjska Region and other Slovenian delicacies. A breakfast including regional products is served daily. Great location, with rooms located above the restaurant. Breakfast had many offerings and was beautifully layed out. Host was very kind and very knowledgeable about the local area as well as the entire country. We enjoyed our conversations with him every morning.

At Gostišče Koren, the traditional restaurant is open for dinner, lunch and high tea and specialises in seafood cuisine. The room was clean, included breakfast big and great, staff was soo kind and friendly, we really enjoyed our stay here! The place is so peacefull at night you can only hear a river that is across the street, beautiful nature!

Everything was more than perfect. The location and Mathias and his wife were super nice and helpful. They helped us to get local food and took us to the most beautiful hiking tracks with their car. Their house is in the middle of the Kocevje woods and the view from their garden is just tremendous. We are already planning on coming back! Thank you for having us!
