We had an amazing helpful and funny host, he replies immediately and sended us lots of updates about auroras, weather, etc. A modern and fully equipped guestroom with large kitchen, common and dinning area, living room area with boardgames, puzzles and extra comfy couches. Amenities and facilities are top notch. The guesthouse also has huge windows with the best views to the ocean. We slept really well. There is also a natural hot pool and hot tub right in front of the place, which is a nice vacation addition.

This was the best guesthouse during my stay in Iceland, well located with wonderful views on the fjord from the windows of my room. Spottlessly clean, the staff was nice and the breakfast divine. Located in the fishing village of Patreksfjördur with panoramic views of the fjord, this guesthouse has free WiFi and a guest kitchen. Guesthouse Stekkabol is the 2nd floor of a 2 story office building housing a bank and ATM. It is strategically located in Patreksfjordur within walking distance to restaurants, a grocery store, a coffee shop and sites in town. It's also close by car or an extended easy walk to Kirkjufell Mountain. The surrounding mountains are beautiful. Our guest room was spacious, nicely appointed, and immaculately clean.

Guests have use of a shared living room, full kitchen, full bathroom, and washer/dryer, in addition to their bedroom. The kitchen and living room were particularly well appointed, and the living room (and some of the bedrooms) have large windows looking out at the fjord--really gorgeous views! It was lovely to relax in the living room and look out on the sparkling sea. The owner is super friendly and showed us where to find things. Our twin room was very comfortable, albeit a bit small, but we could hang out in the living room and kitchen, so the size didn't really matter. The beds were very comfortable, and included two pillows instead of the standard one pillow.

The location was great and the house was very very comfortable. We only stayed one night but slept really well and it is really a peaceful place to enjoy the West Fjords.
