A good location for a hassle-free holiday in Hallormsstaður, Mjóanes accommodation is a guest house surrounded by views of the lake. All great, from the cottage, the dog and the cat that came to greet us to the shared facilities (hot tub, sauna, showers and the very big and cosy kitchen/living area). The bread in the morning was the cherry on the top!

Featuring river views, Hjartarstaðir Guesthouse offers accommodation with patio, around 37 km from Gufufoss. There is a private entrance at the bed and breakfast for the convenience of those who stay.... Not huge, but perfectly equipped with everything you might need. Very comfortable bed.

Finnstaðir has barbecue facilities and a garden. A hot tub is available for guests. Free WiFi is offered. All units at the guest house are equipped with a seating area and a TV. Clean, quiet, spacious, well equipped and helpful staff.

Set in a characteristic wooden house, Við Lónið Guesthouse is an accommodation in Seyðisfjörður. This should be one of the most comfortable hotels I've stayed at during this trip. The stunning lake and mountain views are truly exceptional, and it's also conveniently close to the famous little church. I even had the privilege of witnessing the Northern Lights while enjoying a beer on the balcony at night. I believe everyone should definitely not miss this place. By the way, The apartment host is super friendly.

Situated 37 km from Hengifoss, Lagarfell Studios offers accommodation with a patio, as well as a garden. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Everything was very nice. Apartment in good location, fully furnished.

Located by the harbour in Höfn village, Oldairline Guesthouse offers a shared kitchen/lounge, plus free WiFi and parking. Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon is a 1-hour drive away. Friendly host and tidy apartment

Set on a traditional Icelandic farm, Setberg Guesthouse is located outside of Höfn, a 14-minute drive from the seaside village centre. All the facilities looked new and clean (even though the host has been running the guest house for six years!). There were 2 showers and three toilets for four rooms, so almost private. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with everything you could possibly need to cooking. The host was friendly and helpful. The view was amazing!

Guesthouse Birkifell is located in Höfn and offers accommodation with a garden, barbecue facilities and a terrace. Free WiFi is available. There is a full kitchen with a dishwasher and a microwave. We loved this amazing little cabin at the foothills of the mountains! So peaceful and relaxing. The hot tub was fantastic and had incredible views. Hosts were amazing and had 2 very friendly and playful dogs. Close to a glacier which we managed to have to ourselves after a morning hot tub. Heating and hot water in the cabin was great. Beds very comfy.

Situated on a horse farm by Iceland’s Ring Road, this bed and breakfast is 8 km from Höfn village. It offers bright and basic rooms with free WiFi access and mountain views. Such a lovely place to stay! From the moment we arrived, we loved it. Really peaceful accommodation - perfect for those who prefer to have a quiet break away from too many people! Host was incredibly warm and welcoming and showed a genuine interest in us as guests. Everything was made so simple and easy for our stay and we were given some excellent recommendations about what to see in town and where to eat. Breakfast was also very nice and a clear effort made with a personal touch! Thank you so much for the great stay!
