Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony, La Maison de la Duchesse de la Vallière - Chambre Rosaline - Parking privé gratuit is set in Mons. A beautifully renovated grand old town house. There's access to a well equipped kitchen/dining room where we made our own breakfast. The location was great for walking to the town centre. It is lovely to see this building being restored to its former glory and we loved our stay.

Amazing property with amazing hosts Patrick, Valerie & Annie. Not forgetting their gorgeous dog Zeus. The annex with two lovely big en suite rooms was very modern with a massive garden & big garage to securely store our motorbike. A communal kitchen with a fridge stocked with complimentary beer, spirits, milk & cold water & a Nespresso machine. Great breakfast with (among other things) fresh sliced bread, omelette, homemade preserves with the fruits grown in their garden & local honey & homemade cake. What more can you ask for? We would without a doubt stay again & recommend it to all of our friends. Only a 15 min walk from the village centre with a lovely restaurant serving the best pizza we've ever had! It was a stop over for us, but it is apparently a great base for cyclists and hikers.

Set in Ath, 48 km from Valenciennes Train Station, L auberge de l Entre Potes- Bolia offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Silence. Extremely hospitable and generous host. Overall, good food in associated restaurant (but entrecote steak was, frankly, "chewy" for the most part). Spacious apartment with its own private garden area ... extremely well equipped (own Vaillant boiler in bathroom). Quality of sleep in lovely, extra large bed was without comparison ! Overall: very well appointed 2-bedroom flat. Would I return ? Yes, definitely !
