I loved my stay in this house and would definitely stay here again if I'd get the chance. Top ratings for their staff as they're very accommodating. I didn't need to see them to feel welcomed and tended to. They messaged every step of the way and always replied to messages when I initiated. The room was tidy, and the bed was so soft and comfortable that I rested well each night. It was spacious, clean, and well maintained. The location is near many food stalls, the train station, a grocery, and the venue for the event i flew over for. The free bottled waters saved me a ton since it's hot in thailand, and I need to make sure I'm hydrated for my whole stay. Excellent value for money, highly recommended! Thank you for such a great experience!

It was ok I only stayed one night very dark outside and in a weird location but facilities were good and the owner was nice, a bit limited english

I really loved staying at this hotel. It is a very small hotel - I think it is family-run - and I felt very safe, as a solo female traveler I felt very safe. I had a room down the hall from the desk, so someone was always close by (not that it was needed, but it was nice to know they were there). The staff were super helpful when my luggage was lost by the airline and had to be delivered at 3 am! My room faced the courtyard so I had a nice view on mornings that I was working at my "desk" (I was doing some remote work while I was traveling). Great Wi-fi, plenty of hot water, super clean. The room is very utilitarian, but very roomy, and it was the perfect place to have my first ten days in Thailand. Will stay there again for sure. There is a bustling street market on the main street a block away every night and the Payab Pier is about five blocks away - you can catch the Orange line boats to anywhere in Bangkok along the river for fifty cents.

..”what you see is what you get”..it’s a lot cheaper for a fan room. Overall, I had a nice experience at this place.

oooh i love the shanti lodge! everything is so comfy and the staff are so lovely. if i ever come back to bangkok i will definetly boom the shanti lodge again!! best coffe in town 🤓🤓🤓

Everything is very clean. No shoes are allowed inside so the floors are spotless. The bed is huge and it's comfortable. Aircon is not noisy. Next to the pier, which is great if you use public transport (boats). You can eat cheap breakfast from 7 AM, scrambled eggs, fruit, sandwich, and so on. A lot of plants around, not noisy.

The owner was so friendly and hospitable. The room was comfortable and a lot bigger than expected and the area was nice and quiet (but close enough to busier areas).
