The Convento de São Francisco is a built in a 17th century Franciscan convent. The place itself is totally unique and my husband and I spent a good 20min just exploring the place. There are a lot of places to sit and enjoy the view. Breakfast was lovely and all the staff were really friendly and hospitable. The pool is great and they have a squash court which is an added bonus. The owner is a very nice man and as a rock concert was taking place by the hotel they have us earplugs and VIP tickets to attend - which we did and it was a lot of fun! We would definitely stay here again :)

La Quinta da Abelheira és una antiga casa d'estiueig i ofereix una piscina exterior envoltada d'una zona de gespa gran. On the morning of my check-out, I was the only guest at the Quinta. However, the breakfast was as big and as vast as I had seen in the photos, I got to try a bit of everything and it was all delicious (the Azorean cheeses are very tasty). Even though I had a late check-in, the front desk staff was very friendly and, on my check-out day, they allowed me to use to use the common areas up until I had to go to the airport for my flight.

The Quinta de Santa Clara is a cozy property, 22 km from the famous Lagoa do Fogo, the highest lagoon in São Miguel Island. I recently had the pleasure of staying at Quinta de Santa Clara in Ponta Delgada, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The accommodations exceeded all my expectations in every way. The views from the property are breathtaking, providing a serene and picturesque backdrop for a relaxing vacation. The courtyard is beautifully maintained, offering a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of the Azores. The cleanliness of the entire property was impeccable. The houses were not only well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay but also maintained to the highest standards of hygiene. Daily housekeeping ensured that everything was always in perfect order. The staff at Quinta de Santa Clara were incredibly friendly and attentive. A special thanks to Paulo, who went above and beyond to help organize our holiday on the island. His assistance made our stay even more enjoyable and stress-free. Overall, I highly recommend Quinta de Santa Clara for anyone visiting Ponta Delgada. The combination of stunning views, immaculate cleanliness, well-equipped houses, and exceptional service makes it a perfect choice for a memorable stay in the Azores. I look forward to returning on my next visit to the island.
