Álftröð is 5 km from Brautarholt, a 30-minute drive to Geysir and Gullfoss Waterfall and a 40-minute drive to the Þingvellir National Park. The lodge was incredible. The breakfast could not have been done any better. There were horses on the property, and the owner allowed us to go visit and pet them. The living area has many large windows and in the early morning during sunrise was my absolute favorite.

One of the best hotels of our trip. Beautiful and cosy room. The staffs were friendly. The dinner was nice and beautifully located with a view. Close to great attractions. Would love to stay a few nights more if we had more time.
