Search farm stays in East Iceland

The owners, who are so friendly and nice, converted a big old barn into a beautiful guest house. And the horses and sheep and goats are there for you to enjoy, as it is a working farm.

It was a lovely rural location. The children enjoyed playing outside and by the little stream. Plenty room in a cottage for 2 adults and 2 children.

What a lovely guesthouse! We had a great stay here. Rooms are not big but the place has everything you need. Two bathrooms for four rooms, each with shower and toilet. There is a brand new, super nice kitchen to cook, and even a washing machine and dryer waiting for the guests. The host Elísa is super caring and prepares an amazing breakfast and super tasty dinner. And we could visit the lovely animals at her farm. <3

Lovely place, had not realised that it is a working farm, but it was great for us for a night. The hosts were very kind and we even had a show during breakfast, with a bit on icelandic history, the vikings and genetics... most entertaining.

Wonderful staff. Good food. Beautiful valley for hiking. We stayed in the charming old farmhouse. Pool house with sauna and showers was nice.

Charming, rustic farmhouse which was really comfortable and cozy. The surroundings were breathtaking, with mountains, a waterfall, and the coast - so picturesque. Then there's the restaurant! The food here was excellent, I stayed for two nights and ate there both evenings. Simply wonderful food and excellent local beer. A real gem of a place, I highly recommend it. Great stop for ring road tours as it's a stone's throw from the N1. They also offer camping and cottages on the fantastic farm. Hosts were delightful and welcoming.

It is indeed a beautiful location right at the head of one of th fjords with great views. beautiful old farmhouse.

The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The farmhouse was traditional and charming. The purpose built sauna, lounge with hammocks and outdoor hot bath were all excellent and very cosy and relaxing. Breakfast was served in the rustic farmhouse kitchen and was a great start to the day.

The cottage is quite spacious and everything you need for a stay while touring Iceland. It is well situated close to Hofn and perfect for a stop before heading up the East coast. The view over the sheep fields in the morning is lovely ! The interior has an old farmhouse feel to it, not so modern but it is perfect how it is.

Very comfortable, clean, and large cottage for our family of four. The perfect place to stay on our way to see the puffins at Borgarfjörður Eystri. We arrived at the farm house rather late but our host was understanding and very kind.
