Located in Port Arthur and only 4.2 km from Port Arthur, Ruby's Cottage Farm Stay provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. We loved our stay at this property. The owner, Rod, was extremely friendly and very helpful. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. The farm and surrounding scenery were just beautiful and we would take long walks in the afternoon and evening, accompanied by one of their dogs. We had a chicken hang out near our back door and the cows at times were close by as well. Rod took us into the field to brush the Highland cattle, which we really enjoyed. The views of the hills, the bay and parts of the Port Arthur historic site were just gorgeous. We would definitely stay at Ruby‘s cottage again.

Set on a lovely property featuring a vineyard, olive grove and river, Taras Richmond Farmstay offers country-style accommodation with free breakfast and free WiFi. LOVED IT! From driving down the well maintained farm track, to the warm welcome, to the animals, to the banter, to the breakfasts! Kim and Sharon are lovely hosts, and are passionate about what they do, where they live and the animals (farm and domestic) they share their lives with. They are also very easy to chat to. The unit we stayed in was perfect - and immaculately clean. The bed linen was hotel standard. The breakfast is delivered at a time between 7:30 and 8:30, and consists of warm, freshly baked bread, homemade jam, yoghurt, cereal, fresh fruit, juice, plunger coffee granules, and, if you are lucky, freshly laid chicken eggs (you cook them how you like them). I can't wait to recommend, and to revisit. The only negative comment is that I didn't get to see the new 'home' for their duck, known as Thousand Dollar Duck! A new pond was being installed for it. ☺️😂

Featuring a barbecue, Shearers' Quarters Rathmore offers pet-friendly accommodation in Hollow Tree. Free private parking is available on site. Enjoy a cup of tea from your terrace or balcony. Had a wonderful few nights at Rathmore. Call generously upgraded us to the Cottage so our little family could have some more space. Cottage is great for kids. Easy under an hour drive up to Maydena to ride. Shearers quarters would be a great location for a group as well. Beautiful property and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. Thank you!

Offering a wood fireplace and views of the orchard and gardens, Elvenhome Farm is a unique farm stay experience. It offers an educational experience to guests. Our family of four (kids 10 and 8) had a FANTASTIC time at Elvenhome Farm. We only stayed 2 nights but wanted to stay longer. (The cottage was booked or we would have adjusted our trip to stay longer.) Graham and Kathleen are lovely hosts and have created an amazing space for a relaxing holiday. The cottage is spacious, bright, clean, well-appointed, and cozy. (The bed was so comfortable!!) Their farm is lovey. Our kids picked veggies and fruit with Kathleen, and they helped feed the chickens and sheep as well. They offer classes on the theme of sustainable living, so check their website as well. (I didn't do that before our visit but I wish I had.) The rural location is a perfect, but do take note that you're about a 20 min drive from Deloraine, so stock up on groceries before you head out to the farm. Also note that you will be close to the Van Diemens Land creamery!! (So good!)

Situated in Mount Rumney and only 13 km from Theatre Royal, Mount Rumney Escapes - 1h Haven Horse House features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Our visit was only overnight stop, due to a committment we were unable to look around next morning or meet hosts. Sad that the country is so dry at this time year

Featuring a garden and views of mountain, Cherry Top Farmstay - Boutique Eco Village is a farm stay situated in a historic building in Lilydale, 26 km from Launceston Tramway Museum. A comfortable home away from home in stunning surroundings. Welcoming hosts and everything you need catered for. I am a return visitor because I haven't found better and the value is amazing.

Lockleigh Park is 25 minutes' drive from Launceston. Free private parking is available on site. You will find a kettle in the room. Every room includes a private bathroom. Lovely location in the countryside. The host went to a lot of effort to ensure our stay was pleasant and comfortable. The beds are excellent and the kitchen is well equipped. Generally we find that kitchens have few utensils etc. where we have stayed in the past but Alison supplied everything imaginable. We were also very impressed with the quality, good sized towels that were supplied. Highly recommended.
