Rooms and entire facility was very clean. Excellent location with lake just a thought of the stone away. Facility offers the beach towels for the guests. Many hiking trails with great variety of difficulty around the hotel and Traunsee. There is a boat stop in front of hotel to take a trip on lake or connect with hiking trails in the other side of the lake and visit Gmundent town center. Facility offers excellent breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant. Really great experience!

The location was stunning, the facilities were top notch, the service was personalised and impeccable. Our room (the family room) was straight out of an interior design magazine and the breakfast was great. We dined several times at the hotel restaurant which was adjacent to it and is also run by the family - and it was delicious. There was a big park with a trampoline and other games to keep the little one entertained and the roofed, heated pool was a big hit also. There was a lovely garden to have tea and cake in (home made cakes, coffee and tea were available from 2 to 4 pm at no extra cost) and also to read a good novel and lose yourself in the scent of the flowers and the sound of the feature fountain. The gentleman who runs it has high attention to detail and was very kind and attentive. We had to leave before the usual breakfast time so he got up one hour earlier to make a full breakfast just for us! He made sure our stay was excellent and we will definitely be coming back next year! Many a hotel owner/ hotel chain manager should visit and take notes on how to run a place to an absolute high standard.
