When you go in, you forget about the chaos of the street. The staff is amazing, everyone made sure we had the best stay in Cartagena. Breakfast was good and big.

Ideally set in Cartagena de Indias, Hotel Casona del Porvenir features air-conditioned rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi and a garden. The room is tastefully decorated with style and has many nice features. Bathroom comes with japanese toilet and a nice shower. bathroom and room have some really nice wooden fans on the roof, but there is alsa an AC. Very nice patio with tropical plants. Once you enter the hotel, the noise, heat (and dirt) from the street is left behind. This is a place to relax and recharge your batteries. Staff is very nice, helpful and responsive, from check in to barmen and room service staff. You can choose the Breakfast from the menu, and it was really excellent. On check out day the hotel was preparing for a wedding so no late check out was possible, but they offered me to use the shower in the spa of a partner hotel only 20 m away (for free) which was really great. They provide free filtered water (in many other Colombian hotels you have to pay for the water). There is a small pool at the rooftop, enough to cool down in the tropical heat. There is a lot of electronics to manage the AC, curtain etc. This is OK, but might be a challenge for more senor people. Some guests didn't like that the rooms dont' have windows to the outside but only to the patio gallery. I didn't find that a problem, with that much sun and heat outside you get a cosy place to retreat in your room. But yeah, there is no "view". In the second floor they have a nicely decorated library. As of May 2024 there was a construction site in front of the hotel, they were digging up the road. Surprisingly you didn't notice that when inside the hotel.

Pool(s)- amazing. Rooms- amazing. Amenities- Amazing. Aesthetics- amazing. Welcome drinks- amazing. We met one of the directors there from Europe, and just talking to him about the hotel was amazing! We got a free upgrade on our room on our second night, but honestly we were already so happy with the first room we were put in. Everything was a 10/10; however, I'd like to emphasize how uniquely beautiful this boutique hotel is. It has so much character. It was the highlight of my honeymoon and we stayed in 5 different hotels in Cartagena during our several weeks trip there. We didn't come to Colombia from the US to stay in a generic Hilton- like hotel.

Located in the heart of Cartagena’s walled city, this modern hotel is a 16th century remodelled building and features a rooftop terrace with a swimming pool and shared lounge. Beautiful hotel in all ways. The service of the staff really is like you would expect in an 5 star hotel, they are very friendly, helpful and anticipate your needs. The room was great, we had the standard room which was already spacious and luxurious. The breakfast buffet was delicious! The rooftop bar was awesome, we actually spent 2 full days here since it was this relaxing. Special thanks to Jorge, Samir and Roger for making our stay like a "feel at home" experience.

Offering an outdoor pool, Hotel Boutique Casa del Coliseo is located in Cartagena de Indias, a 5-minute drive from the beach. It offers free WiFi. Best location to go to old area. My flight was evening, but they keep my luggage and allow to use lobby until taxi was coming.
