Also very close to Italy but we couldn't take our hire car out of Slovenia. Friendly dogs and cats too and lots of horses. Very happy to recommend.

Twenty minutes by car to the sea. Some nice restaurants around 10 minutes by car. At home you have everything necessary for cooking. The shower is the best. It was like to discover a treasure. The village is not something special, but you have a new playground for the children.
