It was very remote, but felt homey. Host was very helpful in getting local road condition updates that weren’t reflected on road.is yet.

This countryside property, in the Western Iceland town of Borgarfjördur, is next to the Hvítá Glacial River. It offers free Wi-Fi in the reception, as well as an on-site restaurant and bar. Lovely location outside Reykholt - great for hiking, access to glacier, waterfalls, museums around Rekholt, geothermal springs. Great common space with lots of atmosphere and spaces to sit, play games, have coffee or a glass of wine. Delicious meals served for dinner and breakfast buffet and coffee were perfect. Can’t go past the staff who go above and beyond to help out. LOVED our stay here. Didn’t want to leave.
