We liked the hotel's style, the landscape was a little bit like Tuscany. Quiet place, lovely village, perfect to escape from the modern world and to charge the batteries.
The breakfast was great and the young lady at the reception was very helpful and friendly.

it's a small city with good connection to other parts of Slovenian coast; the city center is very nice with plenty of cafes and restaurants, we enjoyed the cycle paths and cycle roads to Koper and Isola; we prefer to stay in Izola comparing to Portoroz and Koper and it's not so crowdy and everything is close also walking or using bicycle

Izola is a small jewelry box.
Izola is a small jewelry box. With narrow streets, the delicious aromas of Mediterranean cuisine can be felt during an evening walk. We can meet very nice people here among the hosts. We ate fantastic food at the restaurants along the coast. You can eat fresh seafood straight from the sea. We are returning guests here and it was certainly not the last time we visited the town.

Lovely cosy seaside town.
Lovely cosy seaside town. We enjoyed our stay as there were not many tourists, it is not crowded not even near the sea (not like Portoroz). The beaches are with stones, but that is ok if you have water shoes. You can find all the amenities you need in Izola - shops, market, post office, restaurants, pharmacy, bakery....
It is possile to travel to nearby towns by bus or by boat - Portoroz, Piran, Koper. To Koper is also a nice was from Izola along the sea or it is also possible to rent a bike.

Small quiet town.
Small quiet town. Many good restaurants, cafes, pastry shops, bars. Excellently built cycling routes. The surrounding towns of Portorož, Piran, Piranske soline, Koper are accessible by bicycle. Friendly people. Nice beaches, clean sea. Many options for trips to the surrounding area (Trieste, Miramare Castle, Sistiana/Italy or Umag, Poreč, Rovinj, Pula/Croatia or Lipica, Postojna, Ljubljana, Tolmin, Bled/Slovenia)

Nice place.
Nice place. But look closely to the menu before entering a restaurant. Get a table in those where the locals with sweatpants and flip-flops are. Water is very clear and warm. Nice landscapes in the region. Leave Portoroz alone (unless you are a gambler).

Perfect for biking, hiking and swimming.
Perfect for biking, hiking and swimming. We took our own bikes with us and enjoyed Parenzana trail to the max! Izola is maybe the best choice since it has lovely old city center, few beaches which are quite nice.
Hotel is decent and clean, it is part of San Simon complex located in beautiful nature close to the sea. Rooms are new and furniture as well. Staff is kind. We had only breakfast which was always fresh with many options. I can imagine how complex is awesome in summer since in March was really pleasant. Hotel has pool which is nice while other spa services are in another building same as restaurant. Enough parking space. Location is perfect for exploring Slovenina coast and near by Italy and Croatia.
We stayed here for two nights, but we wish we would have stayed longer. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming to our dog. The appartment was a lot bigger than we expected. The surroundings were a little piece of paradise.
The location was great. Izola was about a 2km walk. Or if you don't like to walk there's also a busstop really close by that has regular buses to Piran, Koper and Izola.
100% recommend.
Rooms clean and modern with good bathroom, air-conditioning, and even with a small fridge. The apartment is located in a small street just off the marina area.
When arriving to the apartment, approach from the marina side, its much more easy to find the street that way. If you chose to approach from within the town and get lost (like I did...), just call the owners and they will come and 'save' you.
A very beautiful and clean accommodation. It's situated among picturesque yet tranquil streets, just five minutes away from the most beautiful beach in Izola. The apartment is spacious and beautifully furnished with everything you might need for your vacation. The pleasant host made our vacation even more enjoyable with numerous thoughtful gestures.
The location of apartment is on foot distance from many cafes, bars, and port of Izola. It has all necessary equipment for stay and 5-8 people can be hosted easily. Beyond the apartment building is one small cozy square with pizza place and winery. Everything about this place reminded me on some small Italian cities. We all loved it!
Newly equipped and cosy appartment in a beautiful street of the heart of izola. Super close to seaside and izola beach with lots of great restaurants and bars nearby. The host is really nice and reacts quickly for your messages. He will also give you tips for restaurants and what to do around if you're interested 🙂
Amazing location of the hotel with amazing view of Izola and the seaside. The room was spacious and comfortable except of the bathroom that was rather small. The hotel personnel was always very kind and helpful. Kamin restaurant was also fantastic with great tastes and good quality food.
If you like quiet, this is the place for you.
It's far from the noise of the city and traffic.
The place itself is on top of the mountain and surrounded by olive trees. It's very beautiful and the host was very friendly and speaks perfect English. (Most of Slovenia do)
We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The room was big and comfortable, the view from the balcony nice. The hotel is surrounded by a beatiful park. The restaurant is close and the beach is close too. Everything in the hotel was clean. The dinners and breakfast were rich.
Mateja was a great host and very responsive ! The house is well located in the old town of Izola and going to the beach was only a 3 minutes walk. There are shops close to the house, and many restaurants.
The apartment is in the heart of Izola, hence it’s the perfect starting point for any activity in town. The owners are extremely nice and flexible and answered all of our questions/request.
It was the second time at Artemus Karliva and we will book again for our next vacation in izola. We love everything about the place and the host is always very welcoming.
