Ankaran is a small town near the seashore, it’s spread along the hillsides. The sea as well the beaches are not so nice, it’s rocky, noisy and quite dirty. But its quite nice to SUP activity. There are some fine restaurant around, lots of olive farms and vines manufacturers where you can buy the goods directly.

Realy nice place to stay for a short vaccation. Nice apartment with good position. Unfortunately, sea was not clean, and there was a lot o seaweed there, but beautiful clean beach was 15 minutes of ride in Muggia.
Only thing, that was bothering me, was a lot of ants in the living room of appartment, that I did not expected for the price I paid.

It is a bit remote place so you have peace and quiet, in the evening you can easily go to Isola or Piran for a nice dinner and a walk. I would recommend the place for families as there is lots of space and the sea level remains shallow for a longer distance allowing the kids to play.

It is a pleasant little place.
It is a pleasant little place.
In August I imagine it will be very crowded and traffic and parking will be a problem.
A central square has a bank, a small supermarket, information office and a few bars and restaurants. And at this time-June with covid restrictions good parking.
It's definitely impossible to enjoy your stay here without a car because you need to travel to the beach, but there's enough parking space which is a general problem in Slovenia. The room was clean, we appreaciated the airconditioning and kitchen with lot of kitchenware. Also it was quiet in the neighbourhood. The only thing is that you can't pay by a Credit Card so we had to get us some Cash to be able to leave (but the owner wasn't angry and let us go to the nearest ATM).
I must say that the place is attractive. It is one of the last buildings in the hilltop village with beautiful views of the sea and the surrounding vineyards. For anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing and real vacation, I would recommend this place. The same recommendation applies to athletes (especially runners or bikers) and food lovers (Slovenian and Italian restaurants are around), too. The apartment is quite spacious for 4 people (average family).
The host was very friendly and helpful, the communication went smoothly. The apartment has everything you need and it is very specious. We stayed for one week but we did not get bored at all. You can visit the nearby cities and explore Slovenia or just rest at the beach.
The neighborhood is quiet and you can really enjoy the view on the terrace. The beach is not that far away and it is also dog friendly. :D We will definitely come back!
Apartment equipped with all you need. Good location, considering the location of the stop of free summer bus recommended by our nice and helpful host - two minutes walk from the apartment. Great facility! It takes you to every beach within the Ankaran community up to the Italian border. Air condition works good and is not too loud. Quiet surrounding. Free, own parking area for inhabitants only.
Great place, big resort with pools, and just few minutes to the beach. Breakfast good, accommodation in villa also good, just from the booking pictures I had different thinking, because there is picture of the hotel and if your dont know, you think that there is your accommodation. Rooms ste good, cleaned every day. Was not so quite but because over us vere children
The apartment is renovated with premium material an is in exceptional condition. There are two big balcony on both sides of the apartment and the view is fantastic both daylight and in the evening. The beach is close, both the Slovenian and the Italian ones can be reached in 5 min by car. The host is very friendly and helpful.
Nataša is a charming host (who speaks slovenian, english, serbian, italian...); she gave us all the required information and advice. A nice pool, unfortunately not open for the whole evening.
There are all the needed dishes, towels, etc.
The apartment was very clean!
Everything. The staff was amazing with great hospitality. The breakfast was delicious especially the bread and the orange juice. The location was beautiful and the hotel was peacefull. All in all our stay was wonderful here.
We had extremely kind and efficient reception staff in both evenings. They helped us change from Villa Bor which was dreadful, to the Convent hotel. They were so understanding and helpful. Breakfast buffet was good.
Friendly staff, amazing view from the room, excellent breakfast (very well made food), everything about the stay was very pleasant. The historic villa has "the soul" that you can't find in bigger hotels.
We liked the interior of the hotel, and spa was the big plus (we used 2 saunas which are included in price).
Breakfast is also great and there’s a big variety of dishes.
