An excellent location - the reason I chose it; half way between the Leaning Tower and the Railway station. Good bed, wonderful bathroom and shower, generous breakfast, with a proper cappuccino made by cheerful and helpful staff.
There is lots to see in Pisa other than the Tower (the Duomo museum is well worth the visit), all within walking distance.
By train one can go to Lucca 30 mins (see below, however) and Florence (choose the right train, 1h-1h10 mins). From Pisa airport the Pisamover gets you to the train station (6 euro 50 each, however, so for a group/family, probably cheaper by taxi.) For Lucca, you might consider the bus because the tourist office in Lucca is near the bus station, not the train station.

Overall a great stay. We managed to self check-in around 11 pm. The room was clean and spacious, same about the bathroom. I enjoyed having a high ceiling. We dropped our bags and walked to the tower in three minutes. There were almost no one there at night. The location is exceptional.

The staff were amazingly nice. I'm African American only speaking English but the staff communicated very well with me. Everything is within walking distance. I'd definitely stay again. Beautiful area

Valentina was a great host. She welcomed us and showed everything we know. She offered pushbikes for us to use which was a nice surprise. At our check out, she gave us lift to bus stop which was so helpful cz its about 15mins walk and our bags was heavy and was too hot to walk.
She may needed to go in town anyway but she waited for us which was kind. Definitely recommend this place to stay if you want to be a little out of town.
