The cottage was absolutely adorable in a beautiful location with views all around. It was very clean and very warm and inviting. Check in was easy. Check out was easy. The owner met us at the cottage to check us in late at night in the cold. She was super sweet and welcoming!

Check-in was easy. We originally were going to arrive pretty late in the night so Einar provided instructions for check in beforehand. However we ended up arriving much earlier and he graciously greeted our party. Our room of 4 beds was very comfortable. The room was thoughtfully equipped with large outlet adapter that fit all of our power accessories for charging.
The Kitchen on the 1st floor didn’t have an oven, so Einar generously offered to heat our food we brought in the staff kitchen. We ended up just using the pots available in our kitchen which was just as easy. Kitchen was fully stocked otherwise.
We took in the beautiful views the next morning and spent some time with the lovely horses on the farm. They were so friendly and slowly approached us as we waved and allowed us to pet them, though they were probably hoping we were going to feed them. Such a cool experience.
This guest house is 12 mi from Vík and 0.9 mi off the Route 1 Ring Road. Wi-Fi and parking are free. All rooms have a view of Pétursey Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean.
