Clean, large room, comfy beds. Nice hot shower with good pressure. Nice heating also. Big windows to let you enjoy the aurora (if you’re lucky enough). Excellent location in the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, some attractions are within walking distance and others are a short drive away.

Beautiful views of the sea, especially sunrise. Great mountain views. It was uncharacteristically cold and windy so no hiking but trails exist. Easy access to the national park with black beaches, lighthouses, lava tubes and volcano views. We had 2 rooms, our Room was not large, but spacious enough for a couple and our luggage. Very clean, Comfortable, a small window could be opened to allow air flow and cooling during sleep. Dinner was FABULOUS. Our party of 5 all selected different entrees and they were all delicious. Staff were kind and gracious, breakfast was also quite good. It's also walking distance to the "hotel" in Hellnar, and they have a very good restaurant. Hellnar was a perfect base for us to do some day trips around the peninsula. It's also close to some of the popular attractions.
