Lovely home feel property . Owner is so kind and responsive. We arrived in the midst of heavy snow.. and were glad to find more than enough food for 6 of us in the lodge . Thanks for your hospitality and consideration.

Thank you for this amazing stay ! We got upgraded and the apartment was perfect. Everything was clean and cozy : the little kitchen, the bathroom and the rooms.
We warmly recommend this place, and the location was ideal for those who want to visit the north-east of the island the next day.
If we ever come back to Iceland, we will definitly come here again !

Elinar and her husband greeted us with enthusiasm on arrival. The house is a beautiful work of timber art. Tea/coffee is provided in the small sitting room but there is no ability to prepare a meal (this is well communicated in the listing and Elinar provided good restaurant recommendations). It was good for a stop over whilst driving around Iceland.
Overlooking Djupivogur Harbour, Hotel Framtid is 8 km from Búlandstindur Mountain. It offers local seafood specialities, a bar and free private parking.

We had to stop in this hotel as they closed the main road through the east fiords. The hotel was not cheap, but the room was confortable and clean. There was coffee and tea, and a boiler. No fridge and no TV. The man at the reception was overworked, (as many tourist arrived there at the same time when they realised the road was closed) and he was very helpful.
Located in Djúpivogur village, this hostel offers rooms with free WiFi. The rooms are located in a separate house, while there is a shared kitchen in the main building.

The hostel is very well equipped. The staff is very accommodating; we arrived after the check-in time had ended but because we called earlier the staff stayed behind to greet us and give us the key with instructions.
The rooms are good and the beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are very clean.

Our one-night stop turned into two due to a heavy storm.
Our one-night stop turned into two due to a heavy storm. The hotel handled the situation very amenably. Good food in the hotel and also at the café and village shop in Breiddalsvik itself, which is about 5 km away. Fantastic scenery all round. Motor museum and brewery in the village with the opportunity to go for horse rides directly from the hotel.

It was a wonderful quiet town with lots of people who were very friendly. It seems that the town stays awake and serves food and drinks providing that people are their to eat and drink. Their service is first class.
Cute little hotel located in a quiet town. We absolutely enjoy our stay. The hospitality from the staff and manager is just beyond our expectations. They opened the buffet breakfast just for us as we were the only guests staying that night - what a lovely gesture! We have stayed a few hotels in Iceland (including the Retreat at Blue Lagoon) but this hotel is top of the list!
The staff, facilities and overall "vibe" of this hotel was great! The room was very spacious and the bathroom was huge. The rooms are all wood paneled and the bed was the most comfortable one we slept on in over 10 days out of the 5 hotels we stayed at in Iceland! We would definitely stay here again!
A Quiet area with peaceful view! Smooth check-in although we were late on the day. Cosy room with comfortable beds! There were a sauna and a jacuzzi free to use and we were served with a great breakfast! The hotel owner was super friendly and sweet. We were super lucky to stay there.
Staff very friendly. While it's a "no frills" hotel, as advertised, it was good value for money and very comfortable. Beautiful views from the bedroom. It is an old fashioned establishment, but other than that, it was a pleasant stay.
Our room was a lovely cozy cottage behind the hotel, with a forest right behind it. There was a small kitchen as well so we enjoyed our own dinner. We had a really great time and we slept like little babies, it was very comfortable.
Service was wonderful, we had special circumstances for the visit and the staff was very accommodating, helpful and friendly the entire way. They went above and beyond what we expected for standard hotel service. Highly recommended
Convenient place to the stay when exploring south Iceland. The room was spacious, though it started to show its age. The hotel has nice common area with complementary coffee and tea. The restaurant offers good dinner options.
An amazing isolated hotel with spectacular views. The service and meals were wonderful. We were there at the very end of the season. Be prepared for a 30 kilometer drive on a gravel road to access the site.
amenities were great- loved having access to the pool table, hot tub and sauna were clean and big. nice sitting areas throughout the hotel to gather with our family. staff was accommodating and friendly
Nice hotel on south coast. Better than expected. Rooms were big with comfy beds. Breakfast was ordered night before and was ready on time. nice 24 hours coffee service.
Excellent location, big room, and we loved the hotel lounge - very quaint and cosy with books, board games, and free tea & coffee. The staff was friendly and helpful.
We booked at Hotel Post, but upon arrival we were "upgraded" to the neighbouring Hotel Breiddalsvik (same owners apparently), my evaluation reflects that place.
