We really enjoyed our stay at Vasko Panzio. The place was even more cosy and nice than in the pictures and we also had access to a big terrace. We received a glass of wine each upon arrival and an additional full bottle. We also got great recommendations for restaurants and the owners were very nice. Excellent value for money.

Situated at the edge of town (which isn't very large, so everything can be easily accessed by foot). The hosts speak English and German as well, the breakfast was really nice too. As stated in the description, payment is in cash. We were given the option to pay in Forinth or Euro. The room is very large, they even have netflix for you, and you can have a balcony as well.

I like to cycle and I got lucky with the pleasant weather. I hired a bike and went to Sárospatak. On my way I could visit several small villages, some of them along the river Bodrog, really very picturesque.
I don't drink wine but of course Tokaj is the center of its' famous (sweet) wines, and several 'pince' are present to let you taste those wines.

Tokaj is at least regionally famous for its wine and ambience. The town itself is really two parts, one interesting and older and resembling a Mediterranean seaside locale (tourists, entertainment) and one more for the locals (houses/blocks). Tokaj might be more globally well-known (and visited) if it were more accessible from Western Europe and the US but as it stands, it's also not overrun and yet still offers a lot to see and do for a weekend trip. A car, though, is mandatory as most of the attractions outside of the town itself are at least 20-60 minutes away (especially the wineries). Also, communication in English in shops and restaurants in the town itself is nearly non-existent as are real vegetarian (not fish) options. Quite odd for such a high-quality wine region. I would expect all of that to change in time, but for now, the experience is one of visiting a completely foreign location. That's good but also different. All the Hungarians we met were exceptionally hospitable, patient and helpful, so even language was no problem. Besides wine (and admittedly, it's most of the reason to be there), other activities include boat and rafting trips, lovely walks in the surrounding hills, and eating, food from fast to fancy. There's a little sightseeing train that has a refreshingly thorough route and a few hotels with pools or spa options available to non-guests. Overall, Tokaj is a great weekender or part of a longer regional trip.

This UNESCO world heritage town deserves a visit, of course, for his excellent wineries in a pastorale environment.
There are a few good restaurants but not really international food.
Seems to be nice for biking, hiking and kayaking - we had no time for this.

An amazing place, one of the most unique wine regions in the world. Tourism is not very developed, which is great on one end, but on the other had one really needs to plan well. Too much to see and explore in the entire region, need more time.
Will definitely return.
Cozy guesthoust in the centre of Tokaj. Very nice owner went out of his way to make our stay pleasant, helping with our luggage and serving a free glass of Tokaj wine. Room was very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. Free parking. There is a nice bar downstairs and shop with wide selection of local wines. I would gladly stay here again.
The location is not that close to the center, but it was a 25 mins walk which was not an inconvenience for us. The hotel is nice. The breakfast was ok, a buffet with several options from which you can choose. In one morning we could not be able to stay for the breakfast and they were really friendly and made us some sandwiches for the road.
We found the personnel was very lovely and welcoming. The breakfast had wide range of choices and was prepared well. The location is short walking distance from restaurants and the city center with attractions and wine cellers. It was great that the hotel had an internal free parking. The rooms are well-equipped, spacious and clean.
Dora and Peter were amazing! The apartment looks exactly like the photos, charming and spacious. We really enjoyed the tasting and tour of their cellar which is right across the street. Dora was even kind enough to call a taxi for us when we were unable to from the station. Thank you for the wonderful stay. Highly recommend!
Had a very restful night sleep. Beds were extra comfortable, and the soundproof windows make it a really nice and quiet room to sleep in. the building looks great, and has a nice atmosphere, perfectly combining old elements with modern ones. Nice and helpful staff to top it all. a good choice if you travel to Tokaj.
Nice modern appartement with a kitchenette (koffie, thee and fridge) in the living. Good bed and shower. Owners are the best! Super friendly and we got a lot information about the Tokaj area and wines. Suggested restaurants were very good too. They also have a bigger appartment with a fully equipt kitchen.
Location and privacy. Spa super nice. Staff very friendly. Great cocktails as well. I liked the eco friendly apporch. No single use items at spa, the restaurant or in the rooms and only easy, mostly local, low maintenance plants landscape outside.
If you are staying in Tokaj there is no need to look any further for a place to stay. Close to the town center and in a quiet location. Dora and Peter speak fluent English (if that is helpful for you, it was for us). Comfortable and clean.
Localization is perfect, in the heart of Tokaj. The staff was very helpful and very kind. Design of the room is wonderful, luxury vintage in the best version. 😀 Ratatui for the breakfast was delicious.
Polecamy z całego serca :)
Beautiful quiet location in the heart of Tokaj. Extremely friendly host, clean quiet apartment. Enjoyed every second of our stay. You must visit their family winery Himesudvar which is located down the street.
The host was very friendly, flexible and responded to messages quickly. The location was perfect, in the center of Tokaj. Rooms in the house were well equipped and clean, and the garden was amazing.
Super friendly hosts at a great location in a clean, nice apartment. Did I mention their award winning wines? Do not miss the Antalóczy Furmint 2020. What more you could wish for in Tokaj?
The location is great close to wineries, museums and restaurants. The place itself seems to be repaired relatively recently so it was pretty comfortable.
