We have no idea about Roquetas as we seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. We drove around but didn’t find a town centre. Came back and ate in the Italian restaurant directly underneath the apartment. Quite a bit of noise late at night from the restaurants.

Very quiet location, good for us but maybe not if you like some night life as we didn’t find anything. Maybe just because it was early in the year. Lots of sun beds available, spa was nice. All staff were very polite.

Liked the fact it was a very Spanish resort (didn’t see any other tourists). It was very windy and rather chilly near the seafront which we were not expecting in mid May.
Harbour and castle worth visiting.
Beach front was hit and miss with places to eat and drink e.g some seemed very expensive , some full of kids, Some fully booked up.
Found a nice Italian in the end just before harbour. Harbour bar good too.

The area where the hotel was situated is set up for tourists with most of the facilities one could ask for. If one was prepared to travel down to the marina and port, there one can experience to local ambiance and enjoy a more Spanish atmosphere. Having my own car made life easy, if you hire a car make sure it has sat at or you have Waze or Google on your phone. The Castillo de Santa Anna by the port is worth a visit. Also well worthwhile is a visit to the film sets where a lot of the Spaghetti Westerns were made.

We drove to the beach from our apartment on our way back home, as we had visited Roquetas de Mar for a music concert . We took a long walk along the sea front, it seemed a really nice place to visit lots going on and to do but probably worth staying in one of the many hotels or apartments near to the beach front.

As we travelled out of the summer season it seemed quiet but felt safe and seems family friendly. It is very much a traditional feel of Spain, doesn't feel like a tourist den which is nice. English is not widely spoken but that just adds to the authentic Spanish experience. Learning a few key basic words in Spanish would be a good idea, such as greetings etc.

The hotel had excellent facilities and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
We had to present our passports for registration as is normal and reception picked up that my birthday was during our stay. When we came back to our room the hotel had left a bottle of cava and two glasses with their compliments. Also when we checked out we got a free bottle of water for the journey. Exceptional customer care.
This apartment is a nice comfortable size for a family. Everything that was needed was there. The owner is helpful and available. There's a huge patio overlooking the city and sea/ mountain view.
The area is not a far drive from the beach. The market is fun to do on Thursday.
Location next to the beach , great choice of food all was tasty. Facilities for the kids are very good . Also there was good choice of ( branded ) drinks in all inclusive . Lovely hotel , very good value for the price paid
The hotel is nice. Needs a bit of work on the outside but rooms are updated enough. It’s a hard hotel to rate as the kids area and pool area was great but there is something missing
Lovely hotel, very friendly staff, activities for kids throughout the day. Room was clean, serviced every day. Very comfy beds and pillows, was hard to het up in the morning 😅😅
