Just wow, the whole area, cabañas, terrace and surroundings are built to fit into the nature. We loved our ecological house, the shower with open windows, the natural toilet, the amazing view from our balcony and from the restaurant. Super healthy and delicious breakfast, yummy yuca pizza and amazing stuff - absolutely highly recommended!

We were given a very warm welcome upon arriving and everyone was super friendly. The location is great too, next to where the buses to and from Santa Marta stop and 2 minute walk away from the street with all the restaurants. Great value for money too!

It was an unforgettable experience walking through nature, seeing the rivers and waterfalls. The variety of birds, the tranquility of being surrounded by so many sounds, breathtaking sunsets. I truly enjoyed the whole experience and place. Will do it again, highly recommended.

Lovely place to see birds, swim in some waterfalls, have some good coffee and chocolate on farms, get some craft beer. Very hot though— stay hydrated and pack sunscreen. I would recommend this place and advise hiking around to enjoy the nature.

Loved Minca so much.
Loved Minca so much. The town feels very catered to tourists and it was hard to find a cheap, local restaurant with a menu del dia for example but there are lots of good western-ish options and the wildlife/surrounding area is so beautiful. Highly recommend the Cerro Kennedy hike (stay at El Ramo) too.

Minca is a fantastic place to visit to get a sense of the mountainous area of Colombia and its lush and alluring jungle with all the glory of its flora and fauna. Only a short drive from the Santa Marta airport, you find ourself in a little village that is a haven to hikers, motocross bikers, and bird watchers. There are many places to eat with a variety of cuisines and for the most part the food was good. Our favorite activity was birdwatching. We had fantastic outings booked through Jungle Joe. Our guides Tony Martin and Gustavo Viloria were both extremely professional and informed. We loved the La Vittoria Coffee Plantation tucked away in the jungle. Another favorite was Rio Elemento, a hotel/restaurant on the banks of the river with an awesome swing that carries you over the rushing waters.

It is very pretty and I appreciated the access to other types of food since we had been traveling the Colombia for a bit and had been exclusively eating traditional colombian food. You cannot speak about Minca without mentioning the bugs, they are terrible! the worse part is you don’t really see them or know when you are being bit. You just look down and your legs are covered in bites. Also there is a new age spirituality vibe that is strongly felt in the town.

It’s not a party town but it’s beautiful, scenic, has lovely waterfalls! Nice place to wind down after long hikes. Either take mototaxis everywhere is you don’t want to walk or hike! Ask for a helmet!
Beautiful hostel!! You opt in for meals (no common kitchen) but the food was probably the best I’ve had in Colombia, and all vegetarian, which was a pleasant surprise! Great portion sizes and very well priced. Lots of activities around. Awesome view. Fantastic Stay! The hostel is located up on a mountain so it is something to consider when looking to do activities in town (that’s why you get the amazing sunset view). Very easy moto ride to town and lots to do at the hostel so we didn’t really feel the need to leave.
Very basic. Upon arrival it didn’t seem right. The Colombian owner was kind, unfortunately his partner was inebriated from when we arrived and that got worse when we got back from a trip into town - we could hear a loud argument. There were two young girls staying next door and they were both terrified during the night, as the one owner (as well as someone else) opened their room and looked into their room several times at night. We felt very uncomfortable and unsafe.
This hostel was without a doubt the best hostel we have stayed in during our three weeks in Colombia. The physical space of the place is better described as a small, lively nature park than a hostel. Incredible nature, animal life, service and an amazing staff. The place was rather empty, which was a big surprise to us given the luxurious quality and affordable pricing. We had a great time with lots of peace, serenity, hiking and socialising with the wonderful staff.
We stayed at a cabin perched on a wood hillside above the Minca river. We were lulled to sleep by the sound of the water. Wonderful way to immerse ourselves in the Colombian forest. Dinner was a vegan dish made up of chick peas and plantains. It was amazing. The property has a small network of trails and access to the river. The location is walkable to to the center of Minca. We chose to walk half the time and take the moto-taxi the other half.
Incredible location removed from the main area of minca, but easily accessible by mototaxis. The volunteers working were incredibly helpful and gave us great advice for our time in Colombia and ran a great tour of the finca. Beautiful views of the mountains and the animals were a bonus too. Free coffee and cocoa and even a warm shower in our room upstairs
Amazing spot in Minca to enjoy the jungle sounds and have a peaceful time. We loved our cabana with hammocks, the hosts, the breakfasts. The cabana is gorgeous with bamboo and mosquito nets and amazing shower with jungle views. Having screens for walls really immerses you in the tropical rainforest.
Beautiful location with great hikes and local farms to explore. the staff were really helpful even despite my limited Spanish. my cabaña was very romantic and cute. I also love that they grow there own food and offered great vegetarian options, which is not so easy in Colombia.
Awesome location, 10 minute walk to town( easy and safe), and located on the river. That had a nice pool, but we enjoying the river so much that we never used the pool. Excellent free breakfast. Very nice family run hotel. I would definitely stay there again..
Best place for peace and nature
The food was fresh and one of the best we had in Colombia! Fresh water from the spring. The views and sunset are the best ! The staff is so friendly and helpfull! Thank you so much ….
It was a huge resort with lots of nice spaces to relax (hammocks/nets/pool). We had a room with A/C which was really comfortable and quiet. Best breakfast we’ve had in Colombia, buffet style with lots of options.
this hotel has the best views in Minca. although it is quite far from Minca (10km ) the journey is worth the experience.the staff(and especially bar staff) are very friendly. I highly recommend staying here
Best breakfast we had in our trip in Colombia with the most amazing view!
The place is very well located in Minca, with very nice views over the jungle. Perfect for a few day break outside of the world.
Everything. This place is a paradaise, so peaceful, in the nature with colibries flying around your head. Bed is very comfortable, hot water. The best food in Colombia. Thank you, for amazing time.
This was our favorite stay in Colombia! super nice location with access to the river and heated pool! Food and bar available at the hostel that was top notch! Sleeping in the cabins was a blessing!
This place is really great. It is in the middle of the forest, offer amazing views, delicious food, very friendly staff, and a perfect pool. By far the best hostel I stayed in Colombia.
Beautiful spot on the river, which you can access via a gate to swim/wad in. Good location in town and yet still quiet. A very nice looking hotel with great seating areas to hang out.
Best hostel I’ve stayed in Colombia! Huge pool in a beautiful backyard next to the river. Delicious pancakes for breakfast. I cannot recommend this place enough
