The chalet in between the trees, the deer walking through the property, the quiet, the lake close by, the good and classy taste of the interiors, everything needed was there. After a day at Yosemite we stayed at the house for a day, rested, went to the lake and went out for dinner at the Grill, beautiful setting as well, food pricy for what it was, but a nice place with great views.

Apple Belle Cabin Mountain Escape er staðsett í Oakhurst, í innan við 20 km fjarlægð frá suðurinngangi Yosemite og býður upp á gistirými með loftkælingu. Oh, my word, how to describe this most perfect property. From Oakhurst, you turn right off the main road and wind along what feels like a private side road to get there. We saw California grouse, Stellar jays, a family of wild turkeys, a skunk, deer, fabulous little bats, the list goes on.... The cabin is set on the side of the mountain so the front deck is raised on stilts; you honestly feel like you're living in the tree canopy with the most amazing views across the valley. In the morning the early sun slants through the trees casting long lazy shadows and you feel instant peace; any travel stress just melts away. Incredibly well equipped, we had everything we needed and more and the very friendly host was on hand whenever we needed to answer questions for us. It is a great base to explore Bass Lake (we hired a boat - great fun) and Yosemite National Park. But all our party - 2 parents, two teenagers (19 &16) and a Grandma wished we had booked an extra few days just to stay here. I cannot recommend it highly enough - we have travelled all over the world and this is one of the most special properties we have ever stayed in.
