Just 5 minutes’ walk from Turangi town centre, Creel Lodge is a 4.5-star Qualmark rated motel offering self-contained suites with a private patio and BBQ facilities. We didn't pay too much attention when booking this accommodation, as we just wanted a place to rest for a night after the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and before driving to Wellington. What a lovely surprise this place was! I absolutely loved staying here - spacious and clean rooms, a comfortable bed and a covered terrace in front of the apartment. Even though we didn't get to use the kitchen, it was supplied with pretty much all apliences one would need. Some details I appreciated and haven't seen before were the parking spots next to every apartment and the Netflix account the apartment had for guests. The gardens were pretty and well kept. However, I have to admit that what helped tremendously with my experience at the Creel Lodge hotel was the beautiful and incredibly friendly cat that decided to make us his friends and waited for us to wake up the next morning in front of our door.

Everything was top notch Check in was flawless and the staff had an abundant amount of knowledge about the area

Boasting mountain views, Lake Vista Lodge provides accommodation with balcony, around 38 km from Orakei Korako Cave and Thermal Park. Staying at Lake Vista Lodge was amazing! The owners were so friendly and being able to talk to them in person made everything so convenient. The accommodations were just a short walk away from Lake Taupo, and the views and landscapes were absolutely stunning.

Boasting sea views, Waiotahi Valley Lodge provides accommodation with a spa and wellness centre, a garden and a terrace, around 33 km from Miranda Hot Springs. This was one of our favourite places in our month-long trip in NZ. It had an amazing location, with huge beautiful gardens and lovely views. It was located uphill (which was a bit of a challenge for our small car, but once up, we didn't want to leave). We were upgraded to a lovely double room which opened up to the garden. The shared spaces were excellent, such as the well-kitted kitchen, outside sitting areas, and the large bathroom. The hot tub and breakfast were a great bonus too! Our hosts were very nice, friendly and chatty and we would certainly recommend staying here!

Set in Coromandel Town, within 2.1 km of Driving Creek Railway and Potteries, Fern Lodge Coromandel offers accommodation with air conditioning. The property has garden and inner courtyard views. Loved being surrounded by native bush, but with a view of the sea, hearing the native birds and the peacefulness which made sleeping in bliss!! :-)

The Dome Waikino is located in Waikino. The accommodation is 23 km from Waihi Beach, and guests benefit from complimentary WiFi and private parking available on site. Everything! I had an amazing time staying at the Dome. Amir is such a friendly and welcoming host. He made sure I had everything I needed and really made me feel at home. The beautiful scenery surrounding the property added to the overall experience, making my stay even more enjoyable. The space was clean, cosy, and had everything I needed, I can't wait to come back again!

Located in a rural setting, Podium Lodge offers accommodation 2 minutes' drive from Cambridge. Free WiFi is featured throughout the property. Each well appointed room has a flat-screen TV. Great location, friendly staff

Walnut Lodge B&B offers accommodation in Matamata. Every room at this bed and breakfast is air conditioned and features a flat-screen TV. Excellent setup and very nice breakfast selection. A very personal touch from the owners. Will be back to visit again.

Set in Cambridge, 18 km from Hamilton Gardens, Kelly Rd Cambridge Lodge offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The lady's kindness in the front office, rooms clean and ready. I highly recommended it!
