Staying on a boat is different from the outset, its not the standard hotel room that we are familiar with, This boat was immaculate and perfect for a stay of say two or three nights - I'm UK and we have an affinity with boats anyway so I could easily stay here longer. The level of comfort was exceptional it's not everywhere that you get air-conditioning in each cabin. The seating and facilities were fantastic, plenty of hot water for showers as well. Just to summarise - I would love to spend some more days on this boat. It's family run and they are all lovely and will only want you to enjoy your time on their boat.

What a great experience to spend an evening on deck in the harbour of Viano do Castelo. Our hosts did a fantastic job of welcoming us aboard and orientating us with the boat. We had a memorable stay just off the Camino for a very good price 👍
Excellent location, so clean and comfortable my only negative, and it really is minor, is that it was a very high climb to top bunk but once up there, so comfortable, quiet, clean and everything I needed to hand. I liked the layout of the dormitory, made it feel more private. Slept so well. Easy arrangement for the fishing boat over to Spain. Lived it here
Great location, close to the ferry/taxi boat services that brings u across the Minho river and into Spain. Rlly friendly, attentive and helpful staff, loved the breakfast.
Excellent, friendly staff. Great breakfast with homemade yogurt. Location near train station and main street with lots of restaurants, bakeries, and shops. Nice expansive view of a park like area . Our 4 bed room had a huge private bathroom with a bathtub. The lobby area had an inviting foot sink with salt or sugar scrub. We took the canoe/boat trip to Valenca/Tui from Caminha and would recommend it!
Clean and good location to get a boat!
The room we stayed in definitely had the wow factor, a real one off and unforgettable. A very good breakfast was included, and we particularly enjoyed the choice of cereals, seeds etc. We had an evening meal in the restaurant too, which was very good. The hotel is conveniently located, being in the heart of the town, but wasn't noisy. It was just a few minutes walk to our boat transfer to Spain.
Unique experience of staying on a boat in the marina of a lovely town. Easy access to beaches. Made to feel very welcome by the hosts and good orientation to the boat given.
6 beds and a private bathroom along with 5 more in the outside hall. Comfortable bed and great linen. Across the street from taxi mar if you take the boat taxi to a guarda. Resturant around the corner
Polo is an excellent host! Speaks multiple languages fluently, very engaging and welcoming! He even had foot baths for tired pilgrims feet, arranged the taxi and Pilgrim boat for the next morning... He is a genius business man!
We stayed at Patricia's gorgeous guesthouse while waking the Camino Portugues. She welcomed us with a hug, and our jaws dropped when we saw the beautiful bedroom and the spacious patio with a view over the Minho River to Spain! Kitchen was well outfitted and the restaurant down the block was grand. The next day Patricia gave us a lift back to Caminha ... she is a few km north of the boat we needed to take to cross to Spain.
