The atmosphere, the staff, everything was incredible. I only wished I had stayed longer. Ashlee was very helpful and accommodating. I was upgraded to the room with a view and would highly recommend staying there.

It was like stepping back in time to the early 1900s. Mom and I sat in the parlor and helped put together a puzzle. The rooms are beautiful! The bed was comfortable, and our host, Laurie was outgoing and fun. She made a delicious breakfast for us the next morning. We wnjoyed our stay so much!

Set 25 km from Diamond Jo Casino, The Federal House offers accommodation with a patio, as well as a garden and barbecue facilities. Meals were just right, enough portions and very tasty. The whole house was expertly decorated in period furnishings yet all modern amenities were available.

Genna was very knowledgeable about the house, which had deep historic roots and meant my husband and I could make the most of our stay. We found some family connections thanks to the detailed information about items dotted around the home. The location was amazing and immersed us in the Nauvoo experience.
