Amazing hotel, full of charming details like paintings and monuments and original pieces of furniture. The lovely host made a tour around the building and told about the history of the hotel. The room itself was very spacious, no problems with the water and tasty breakfast upstairs! I would definetely stay here during my next trip to the mountains. 10/10!

The lodging is in the ground floor of a carefully modernized and upgraded house in the center of Gouveia. The host was completely fluent in English and Portuguese, and answered lots of questions about the town and surrounding area. The room was large and quiet, with a large spotless bath. Breakfast was a nice selection of fresh foods.

With Parque Natural Serra da Estrela reachable in 24 km, Terrace Serra Hotel features accommodation, a restaurant, a garden, a bar and a shared lounge. Complimentary WiFi is available. A great stay, you would not believe how good can a night stay be. Newly furnished room very clean and spacious. The staff were very polite and helpful, and finally, a delicious breakfast served with a good atmosphere.

Featuring a terrace, Casa Mariolas offers rooms in Manteigas, 3500 metres from Manteigas Hot Springs and 9.3 km from SkiPark Manteigas. This guest house offers a shared lounge. A lovely B&B in Manteigas, in the middle of the amazing Serra da Estrela, managed by two fantastic hosts. Daniela and Paulo love what they are doing and gave us a lot of useful information and tips on the places to visit and the trails to follow during our stay. The room was just perfect, with a stunning view on the mountains and a delicious homemade breakfast that gave us a perfect start of the day. Casa Mariolas is definitely worth the visit! We look forward to visit them again very soon.

Quinta do Quinto features a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, bar, a shared lounge and garden in Porto da Carne. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Awesome place for a getaway, to relax and just enjoy yourselves. It's quiet, we'll arranged and very friendly staff. Even though this is in a remote location, they do have a power wall to charge your car, that's a ++ 😊

Located in the centre of Manteigas, Casa D’Avenida is a newly renovated family house, sited within the Serra da Estrela Natural Park. The room had a comfy bed and a nice little balcony with mountain view (due to very bad weather we couldn't use it, unfortunately). Downstairs there is a nice seating area with an oven which we used to get dry and warm up after some very rainy hikes. The guest house is located right at the little stream flowing through Manteigas, so restaurants and shops are right around the corner. (We recommend Infusao, just a couple of steps up the stream from the guest house.) The breakfast was amazing and very extensive, even when only us two were left at the hotel. Best thing: we could pack bread etc for lunch, tea and coffee were always available downstairs, as was the amazing home-made cake. We were looking forward to this after every hike.
