Boasting inner courtyard views, Akilpo Home features accommodation with a shared lounge, around 400 metres from Estadio Rosas Pampa. I booked my stay at Akilpo on a recommendation and was not disappointed. Run by brothers Benji and Esteban, they are so knowledgeable and generous with their time in helping you plan your trekking and activities around Huaraz. The rooms have super comfortable beds and nice, hot showers. Breakfast every morning includes fresh fruit, cereal, pancakes and eggs. Located in Huaraz in the Ancash region, Mirador Backpackers B&B provides accommodation with access to a public bath. Lovely and helpful owners, they allowed us to check in at 7am on the day of arrival and gave us breakfast that morning too. You can book transport to a lot of hikes at a good price with them - and they will make you breakfast at 4.30am before pick up!! Also you can stay in your room until 5pm for half the price of a night on the day of check out if you are taking an overnight bus back to Lima which was great

Hotel Churup offers accommodation in Huaraz. Guests will be served a complimentary breakfast buffet daily, consisting of freshly ground, roasted and brewed coffee, fruits, seasonal vegetables and... I loved the friendly staff, the yummy food, and the amenities where I can just roam, sit, relax, read or write in front of a fireplace. So amazing.

Featuring a garden and a shared lounge, Casa de Ana B&B is set in Huaraz. The property features mountain and garden views, and is 1.1 km from Estadio Rosas Pampa. Ana and her family were the kindest and most helpful hosts. They allowed us to store our bags when we went trekking, allowed us to have a parcel delivered and allowed us to stay in the accommodation for the day to wait for our night bus. They were also able to give us advice on trekking and tours. The accommodation is really lovely- it is exceptionally clean and the beds are warm and comfortable. There is free tea and coffee available all day, the breakfast is filling and nice and there is a lovely terrace to sit out on as well as some indoor spacing. The B&B is in a residential area with lots of amazing restaurants with exceptionally cheap menu del dias, and is only a 15 minute walk into the main part of the city. We really enjoyed our stay at Casa de Ana and found it to be very comfortable.

With river views, Hacienda Norabuena is located in Recuay and has a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk, bar, garden, sun terrace and outdoor fireplace. Melissa and her husband were wonderful hosts, welcoming us onto their property with a tour of the grazing lands behind the hotel, introducing us to all their animals (friendly dogs, llamas, sheep, cattle, chickens, rabbits), and conversing with us throughout the evening. They gave us advice on our trip through Peru and seemed genuinely interested in our travels. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and secluded. They cooked dinner (15 soles, I think) and breakfast for us (2-3 soles pp) and both were delicious with farm fresh eggs.

Located in Huaraz, within 2.9 km of Estadio Rosas Pampa, Alpino Guest House is an accommodation offering quiet street views. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. We loved the staff, they were friendly, kind, communicative, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond for us. They also spoke English very well, which is not common in Huaraz, so that made this stay a lot easier for us because we are not strong Spanish speakers. The rooms and the bathroom were clean. The location was quiet so we were able to sleep well. Hot water was available (the labels were incorrect but there was hot water nonetheless). We had good phone signal/reception and wifi was available. The hotel staff also booked our tours for us which helped make our trip smooth and easy. They also offered to make us breakfast for a small fee since we had to be up really early for our tours. This was such a pleasant stay, I highly recommend.
