Our host was very nice and thoughfull ; as we were alone in the house, she gave use "the best room" and indeed it was extremely comfy, and with a very nice bathroom. Common spaces were large and very functionnal. Everything was brightly clean :) In addition, while the host doesn't offer breakfast, she told us to help ourselves with everything we needed in the fridge, and it was more than enough for a good breakfast

It was warm and had a kitchen that was perfectly adequate to cook a meal. The bathroom was modern with a generously sized shower. There were two bathrobes as well as towels. It was quiet and with parking right outside. The house is up the hill from the harbour and it was a bit cold (snow everywhere) to walk to the hot pools on the shore so we took the car, but I would estimate a 10 min walk in summer.

Located 6 km from Stykkishólmur, Helgafell provides a garden and free WiFi. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. The place is a part of the Helgafell, which is a mountain top with significance in the Norse mythology. The house is neat and clean with very helpful owner. The highlight is definitely Morley, the host's dog who is so friendly that he not only visited us during the night and morning but actually accompanied us,together with another black Labrador, when we hiked the Helgafell hill. All these made a very special and warm stay.
