Finnstaðir has barbecue facilities and a garden. A hot tub is available for guests. Free WiFi is offered. All units at the guest house are equipped with a seating area and a TV. The house is right outside the town of Egilsstadir, very easy to find. We were met by a very friendly owner and his two lovely dogs. He was extremely helpful and the house was truly a gem! Decorated with old-style furniture, but very cosy, clean and it has a hot tub outside with an amazing view! We wish we could have stayed longer and can definitely recommend it for anyone wanting to spend time at East Iceland!

Set in a characteristic wooden house, Við Lónið Guesthouse is an accommodation in Seyðisfjörður. the view from our balcony was the best. the host was amazing and tried helping us with local things to see and eat around. it was spotless and clean and so welcoming! We were lucky to spot faint northern lights right outside our balcony.

Situated on a horse farm by Iceland’s Ring Road, this bed and breakfast is 8 km from Höfn village. It offers bright and basic rooms with free WiFi access and mountain views. The hostess is very nice and helpful. Make us feel at home. She showed us her horses, lent us the tripod to photograph the northern lights (in August). Breakfast includes eggs, ham, sausage, yogurt and bread. Fresh and good portions. There are three rooms (units). Each room has its own bathroom but bathrooms are located down the hallway, not in the room.

Overlooking Lake Lagarfljót, this guest house is 5 minutes’ drive from central Egilsstadir. All rooms include free WiFi access, a fridge and a private bathroom with shower. Clean and roomy. Nice kitchen and big dinning area. Check in is easy. Key in a locked box at the front door. Your key is on the lock of your own room. Good hot shower. 2 supermarkets 5 min drive from guesthouse.

This family-run guest house, off the Ring Road in southeast Iceland, is 7 km from Höfn. Free WiFi is available. Well designed interior, cozy living space and a spotless kitchen. Bathroom and our beds made us feel home. 10/10 would stay here again.
