A young lady working at the cafe (Diza, sorry if I mistaken the name)made me one of the best meals in Indonesia I’ve ever tried. Sweet dog and cat were also welcoming and slept under my room’s door at night.The room was simple but very clean with beautiful garden setting. The location is a little bit out of town, but walkable and very quiet. Tyson also organized a jungle trek for me and that was also very good. We saw 8 orangutans)

They are very kind and help you with any and every question you might have about the place and the island. Every single item in the rooms were well thought. Room was very clean. Having a mini fridge, boiler in the room was great to have. Location is fantastic as it's a bit remote in the island which offers you a calm place to relax. Having the ocean right beneath you is remarkable. Food in the restaurant which is running as a side business, "La Boca Chica", was a great surprise for us as it really exceeded our expectations for taste and variety. We were not comfortable to ride scooter and Borja was kind enough to give us a practice session which shows how far they are willing to go for helping their guests!

The scenery from Juma Cottages is really awesome. The host Pino n Jelita and other staff is very friendly n helpful. Recommended n will come again next year.

Situated in Bukit Lawang, Sumatra Cheeky Monkeys features accommodation with seating area. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Guests can make use of the picnic area or the barbecue, or enjoy views of the lake and river. The owner was so kind. Let me stay in a slightly more expensive room inside without paying the difference and got a ride back to the guesthouse from the city center at night. I wasn’t there for long but definitely felt it was a good deal for the price. It is pretty far from the center of butik lawang. You can walk it in 20min or get a tuktuk for 30rp. The walk is nice. You get to see another side to the area.

Location is beautiful, WIFI is very good, big beds with good matrasses, big living room, very nice terrace with great view, good breakfast, water for free, only 9 mins walk from harbour
