The grounds were beautiful, the room was spacious and clean and to top it off, we were even left with a little breakfast hamper in the morning. The room (suite) was clean, fresh milk in the little fridge for tea and coffee, and the little touches like bubble bath were greatly appreciated. Even if you don't stay, you have to go for the most amazing scones you will ever eat. Breakfast was beautifully presented and cooked. We plan to return.

Alison was amazing. The room(s) were perfect for our little family unit. Everything was prepared and waiting (we arrive late in the evening on the day of our arrival). The next morning's breakfast was perfect and provided a wonderful start to the day (and additional requests were taken for the next day's breakfast as well - and a spread was purchased so my son could enjoy spread on his toast!). Check-out was smooth, couldn't have asked for a better stay!!

Wonderful stay of 3 nights. We aren’t the first and no doubt the last to be treated to Louise’s generous hospitality. Her culinary and catering background show, as does her meticulous attention to detail. Towels, toiletries, every need accounted for and then some. As she warns, the cottage is small and the steps are steep but her decorating choices and touches are delightful. Be prepared for an amazing cream tea on arrival with cakes and jams, all home made. Breakfasts are equally generous and literally cooked to order. There is a nice 40 minute walk near the cottage, for dogs and people. Thank you Louise, too, for bending with our needs — after flustered arrival per dodgy GPS and heavy rain. Also for popping my soaked gloves into the dryer. 🙂
