Casa Verde is a very special place - very near wild beaches with iguanas and sea lions on one hand and close to stores and nice local restaurants on the other. We really enjoyed it and definitely would stay again

I wasn't sure what to expect, but I really enjoyed my stay at Casa Arvakeni! Vanessa and her beautiful family are such marvelous hosts, they were always very communicative and as soon as I arrived they sat down with me, showed me a map of San Cristóbal, and told me all about great local spots for hiking and snorkeling! I really appreciated the comfortable room and bathroom to myself in a quiet part of town with decent Wifi, hot shower, and access to the family kitchen. Like all Galapagos, it is very safe and laid back here. Everything is within walking distance in Puerto Banquerizo: the house is just ten minutes from the dock, twenty-five minutes to the airport, and a twenty minute jaunt to lovely Punta Carola... Or walk just a little further and bingo: the Ensenada del Cerro de las Tijeretas is the perfect spot to see undersea life. Or you can cross town and head forty minutes in the other direction to Playa Loberia, where the snorkeling is also excellent. I am very grateful to Vanessa and her family, they are such welcoming and knowledgeable hosts! An excellent choice for any budget traveler who wants to support local folks, prepare their own meals and rest easy in this beautiful, enchanted paradise!

Charming building in great location (walking distance to Playa Mann, Interpretation Centre, and the city centre). Host and staff are very friendly, and provided almost instant answers to all questions through WhatsApp. All rooms have fans. Hot water in the shower. Nice, well-equipped kitchen. Felt very safe staying here.

Good communication. Juan (the owner) lives and works in the building so he's easily available for any needs. Large one bedroom apartment, great Air Conditioning, spotless.

This was a fantastic base for our stay on San Cristobal. The property was fun and quirky, but also very comfortable and in a great location. The bedrooms were both big with big and comfortable beds. The kitchen was well stocked, the bathroom was clean and pleasant, and the living room was cosy. The garden was also perfect for a drink in the late afternoon. The property is located on the edge of town so the area is quiet and safe, however it is only a 5 minute walk to the town centre that boasts a range of restaurants, bars, and shops. It is also less than 5 minutes to the beach and the interpretation centre and the many trails that start around this area too. Our host was also very friendly and would answer any questions we had regarding the island.

Honestly ran by the loveliest of people. Alfredo showed me parts of his fruit farm and let me know I could help myself to as much as I please. It’s only 3 dollars in a taxi to the town at any time, but Alfredo will take you for just 2 dollars if he is available.

We booked the apartment and loved our stay here. Anita and Daniel were so kind and helpful. They met us at the port, provided drinking water (only place we stayed that did so), rented bikes for $5 (not the best bikes, but fine and $10 cheaper than in the town) and arranged our taxi back to the port at the end of our stay. The shower was amazing, the kitchen was fully equipped and it was great to have our own living space for our time on San Cristóbal.
