The house is comfortably sized for four, kitchen is well-equipped, there are clear instructions where needed. This is a family vacation home rather than just a tourist cottage, and it really felt like something special the owners were sharing with us.

Vetursetur is a holiday home with a terrace, located in Aðaldalur. The property is 80 km from Akureyri and free private parking is provided. This cabin is not the most modern and chic but it felt so cosy and authentic. The lava formations around it were magical and it made for a great first base for us in Iceland and we stayed 2 nights - we really felt like we'd arrived somewhere really different. We love wildlife and were delighted to find a snipe on the porch on the first evening, loads of golden plover (including chicks), redwing and curlew. It was super cold when we arrived (weather obviously not the fault of the owner!) - about 4 degrees C in July, the wind was really going for it too - the small radiators were on and we quickly found the heater and were very cosy in no time. The bedrooms are very compact as is the bathroom but everything worked and was comfortable. We loved the inclusion of a good bean to cup coffee maker too. The location was excellent for days out in Husavik and Myvatn, we would have been happy to even have stayed a bit longer. It is off the beaten track, but the owner gave us super clear directions and we had no trouble finding it at all.

The studio has everything you need (fridge, microwave, toaster and a small portable stove) and really close to Husavik. It's also secluded enough for you to be able to see the northern lights.

Located 5 km from central Húsavík, Saltvík Farm Guesthouse offers accommodation with views of the surrounding mountains and Skjálfandi Bay. Poloha v bezprostrednej blízkosti mestečka Husavík, priamo na farme s krásnym výhľadom na more z jednej strany a ohradu s koňmi na druhej strane. Izba bola menšia, ale oceňujem veľký radiátor, kde sme si mohli vysušiť veci a tiež sušiak na mokré oblečenie. Veľmi dobrý nápad, jediné ubytovanie počas nášho pobytu na Islande, kde mali sušiak. Kuchynka bola spoločná pre viac izieb a nachádzala sa v tesnej blízkosti našej izby, no bolo potrebné ísť po vonku, čo nie je vždy príjemné. Posteľ bola pohodlná.

Ubytovanie Granastaðir Guesthouse sa nachádza v destinácii Granastaðir 30 km od miesta Vodopád Godafoss a hostia tu majú k dispozícii záhradu, bezplatné súkromné parkovisko a terasu. The room was surrounded by a wonderful landscape: a small waterfall just in front ot the site, horses wandering around.

The location was gorgeous with amazing views next to a bird sanctuary and views of snow capped mountains across the bay. The hot tubs were great. The cabins were well equipped with what we needed.

Located in Húsavík, this apartment features a garden with a sun terrace. Guests benefit from terrace. Free private parking is available on site. Very clean, big apartment. The owner lady was very friendly. The location was perfect with a beautiful view in a quiet neighborhood.
