We loved our 2-night stay here. The house is comfortably sized for four, kitchen is well-equipped, there are clear instructions where needed. This is a family vacation home rather than just a tourist cottage, and it really felt like something special the owners were sharing with us.

Vetursetur is a holiday home with a terrace, located in Aðaldalur. The property is 80 km from Akureyri and free private parking is provided. This cabin is not the most modern and chic but it felt so cosy and authentic. The lava formations around it were magical and it made for a great first base for us in Iceland and we stayed 2 nights - we really felt like we'd arrived somewhere really different. We love wildlife and were delighted to find a snipe on the porch on the first evening, loads of golden plover (including chicks), redwing and curlew. It was super cold when we arrived (weather obviously not the fault of the owner!) - about 4 degrees C in July, the wind was really going for it too - the small radiators were on and we quickly found the heater and were very cosy in no time. The bedrooms are very compact as is the bathroom but everything worked and was comfortable. We loved the inclusion of a good bean to cup coffee maker too. The location was excellent for days out in Husavik and Myvatn, we would have been happy to even have stayed a bit longer. It is off the beaten track, but the owner gave us super clear directions and we had no trouble finding it at all.

Such a lovely guesthouse, well designed and with an equiped shared space! We really enjoyed the beautiful room view. Definitely one of our favorite stays on our Icelandic tour.

Situated within 30 km of Godafoss Waterfall and 37 km of Husavik Golf Club in Granastaðir, Granastaðir Guesthouse features accommodation with seating area. Small but very convenient and clean. We had a little kitchen in our room and we could also use a shared bigger kitchen near our room. Shower was comfortable with all basic things like shampoo, conditioner, shower gel. Internet was fast.

Location was great as walkable to main part of Husavik. The apartment had everything we needed. Bed was comfy. Good size, clean and comfy. Easy parking. Good communication and easy self check in so was ideal. Wish we had more than 1 night.
