We got a room with wonderful views of the town. The room was great, clean and comfortable beds. We are very happy to have stopped by O Cabalo Verde.

The best hospitality on the Camino! Santiago and Julia were exceptional, and the food was outstanding. They were so accommodating and suggested we walk to Palis de Rey in the evening -they picked us up in Palis de Rey and dropped us off at the same spot in the morning. Santiago is the best!

Gorgeous! The host and all the staff were amazing. The facility was beautiful and very welcoming. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom was beautiful. Beds were comfortable, and the pillows were comfortable! The included breakfast was delicious and the staff drove everyone back to town right at the Camino trail!
HORRIBLE HOTEL. INFESTED WITH BED BUGS AND NO HEATER IN ROOM. AWFUL SERVICE. NO ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE IN TIMES OF NEED. DISGRACE TO THE CITY. HOPE THE CITY SHUTS THIS HOTEL DOWN.
WHEN YOU CALL THE FRONT DESK, THERE IS NO ONE AVAILABLE AND WHEN YOU CALL ON THE CELL PHONE, THEY SAY HEATER IS BROKEN OR MUNCIPALITY DOES NOT ALLOW HEATERS TO BE TURND ON IN ROOMS.

Of all our stops on the Camino from Sarria to here (...
Of all our stops on the Camino from Sarria to here (currently in Melide), Palas de Rei was the least interesting or exciting. Still, it had hidden gems in a hostal we found to eat dinner (there are not a lot of options) and returned for breakfast on our way out. Also, the laundry mat was a big plus and the driers worked really well. Dried a lot of clothes for 3 euros. Just have to ask around for change. The bar next door and the grocery store behind were so helpful.

A great place to stay, relax , have a well earned siesta after long walk from Portmarin 24.6 kms + Probably quieter in October when we visited but still found a good restaurant "Meson a Forxa" and had a delicious meal after 7 - early for Spanish but filled up rapidly . Lots of Camino walkers took break here.

A small town on the pilgrims way, the palas itself is 7 kilometers away.
Restaurants are very good and reasonably priced. 10 euros are enough for a person per day to be happy and even to try a milk sucking lamb baked in owen.

Small interesting town on the camino trail route (St James), not a lot to see but a good selection of bars and restaurants.
A few shops selling all sorts of things, so you could find what you need if required.
Pension Restaurante Casa Camino is right on the Camino de Santiago, so it was easy to find.
My twin room on the third floor was spacious and well-appointed, with plenty of outlets to plug my devices. The bed was comfy and the wifi worked great. The bathroom was nice and clean. It was my most expensive private room of the Camino. Then again, everything is more expensive in Palas de Rei for some reason. But I'm satisfied with the room and the service I received.
A good option for anyone walking the Camino de Santiago.
Lovely albergue. Easy check in, very friendly hospitalero. I loved the bunks with curtains for extra privacy, you also have your own power socket to charge your phone. The place was tidy and comfortable. It has a bar are and a big common room where you can socialize with other pilgrims. 10 mins walk to centre of Palas de Rei where you can do your shopping or have dinner. Easy!
The hotel is stunning, the staff's attitude is amazing. Since the hotel is far away and I walk the Camino, the owner of the hotel came to pick me up in his car and brought me back the next day. Dinner was specially prepared for me according to a menu I discussed with the chef. The breakfast is rich and varied. The rooms are so beautiful that you just have to come
it is located very close to the camino way with some cafes around it, the good thing is it has a lift to transport our heavy luggage up to 3rd floor and balcony for us to sit and enjoyed the sunset also for drying our clothes, the room and bathroom were clean with good supply of shampoo and bath gel, the hotel does not provide breakfast or any meals
This was one of our stays on the Camino de Santiago, ruta Francés. It is like an oasis of tranquility. Mario is an excellent host and attentive to all your needs and, yes, even wants. Interacting with him is not only an experience in hosptiality, but also a cultural trip! Thank you Mario and Belén.
It is in the heart of Palas de Rei and along the Camino route, so not out of the way at all. It is secure to get in, and is a relatively easy check-in process. Additionally, when we needed an extra towel, the owner delivered one almost immediately! The shower had good water pressure.
Quaint old rectory made into a very modern clean and comfortable hotel without losing the history and charm of the old. The owner is the manager and is a classic host and quite a character. Personally greeting folks and carrying bags
I was walking the Camino and the hotel was easy to locate, near good restaurants, had a kitchen where I could make tea, use refrigerator etc. The lady who checked me in was very pleasant and helpful.
You don’t need a great wifi if you have the chance to talk to Mario! This is better than lots of 5 stars hotels that I have stayed. He opens his home to people and you feel like you are home
The lady working at reception with the short grey hair was the most lovely and helpful person. She made us all feel so happy and welcome! She’s a huge asset to the hotel ♥️
Absolutely loved our stay. The apartment was conveniently located near the start of the Camino De Santiago, as well as to restaurants. The apartment was huge and spotless.
Very friendly staff, a beautiful and quiet yard with lawn chairs, and the best meal you can get on the Camino—and one of the best meals I’ve had in all of Spain.
