My wife became seriously ill. We were there one night and had to leave and drive seven hours back to Barcelona to an English-speaking hospital. Where she spent six days. Hotel Flysch would not refund our second night. All of our future accommodations refunded us our money, even though after a certain date they are nonrefundable. We contacted Hotel Flysch and let them know what happened my wife ended up in the hospital. They said OK pay the remaining balance when you can. This was all done through emails. Then they turned around and turned us into booking.com for not paying before we rushed off to get to Barcelona. We paid our full stay

Nice town square for having a coffee / beer / food after a tough days walking.
Beach a few mins walk away and ideal for a swim.
Train station right in centre of town and we used a taxi to ferry us to and from our hotel.

A quiet and pleasant small coastal town with some bars and good restaurants.
Food in the bar of the Restaurant Urgain, in particular, was exceptional and good value.
Deba has a nice small beach and the presence of the railway makes it convenient for travelling both east and west, especially since parking in the region can be difficult.
A lovely stopping place for walkers and cyclists.
Beautiful location, quiet, absolutely wonderful staff who were able to help us plan an alternative stage for our Camino del Norte along the coast. They were also very mindful of accommodating my need for gluten free food. The house specialty beef stew at the restaurant was AMAZING!!! Totally worth the walk away from the Camino - and they have a short and well marked path that goes down to Deba straight from the farm rather than having to go all the way back to the traditional Camino.
Room was spacious, in a separate structure from the restaurant. There was a separate communal living area and staff started the fireplace for us. Very welcoming.
Their dinner course was really good. Highly recommend the veal cheeks which were very tender, the gumbas and gulas salad, the pears in red wine dessert.
For Camino walkers, ask staff to show short cut to Deba town; there’s no need to backtrack out.
This apartment is very conveniently located at the end of the walk along the Camino del Norte from Zarautz. It is beautifully appointed and has all necessary appliances. The balcony, overlooking the sea is a lovely place to have a meal at night. The apartment is a short way from the centre of Deba. We were delighted to have chosen this as the location for our visit.
The basic facility was in a good location in Itziar, about 3 km above Deba on the Camino. However, no heat in the room nor hot water. After a day of strenuous hiking a shower is needed.
The menu for dinner is really good, but key items weren't available. Their soup was exceptional and other options were good. All in all, a great meal and great service.
Nice family run Agroturismo just off the Camino and a short bus ride from Deba. My friend and I walked into Deba and took the bus back to the Agroturismo. We had a rest day and it was lovely to talk with the hosts and enjoy the views. Very relaxing. We ate at the restaurant just down the hill. I understand it isn't open on weekends so plan accordingly.
The hotel was far away from civilization, which made the stay very good. The owner prepared a delicious lunch with tomatoes from her own garden while they only serve breakfast and dinner. Dinner in the evening was served in a large room at long tables and was delicious. Since we had to leave early the next morning, the owner prepared a delicious breakfast.
I had wanted to stay in Deba, the next town on the Camino but couldn’t find a reservation there, so I opted for this hotel, and I’m glad I did. It was very clean. The staff was extremely helpful and kind, and the food at the restaurant was delicious. Best of all, it was a few steps off the Camino.
Beautiful location, a perfect stop alone the Camino del Norte. Very friendly and accommodating family-run business with delicious food,
clean and beautiful rooms, and a nice view. Easy walk down to the town of Deba the next day. Would highly recommend to anyone.
A lovely albergue outside Deba in a beautiful spot in the mountains. Definitely take a taxi as walking there from town would be long and tiring, especially after a day on the Camino. We had a nice dinner and breakfast there. The staff was wonderful.
The owners are super friendly and the location is very nice and quiet. The beaches are within a couple of minutes by car, as well as the towns Deba, Zumaia and Getaria to eat out or do some shopping.
Location of Albergue is beautiful, however, be aware, if you are walking the Camino, it is a 2 hour walk from Deba.
Staff were brilliant, very helpful.
