Pucallpa is more relaxed than Iquitos but The jungle in Peru is difficult in general for white foreigners. There is a lot of racism. It is not my favorite city in the jungle. Not a lot to wander around. People are very kind. I recommend visiting the boiling river but the bride's veil waterfall was a rip-off: too much travel time for something not amazing at all. Food was great everywhere, specially in: Tuyuyo, el Toro Pez and Ukaw. People are great. Some good basic local food. City is filthy and extremely polluted. Very dusty and trash everywhere. Motor taxis are very cheap. Markets are fun. Beautiful shipibo handcrafts. Best is to explore areas outside pucallpa.

Perfect for a few days of rest and relaxation after a medicine retreat. We had dinner and lunch a few times and they offered to accommodate dieta regulations. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant a few times and it was always very tasty. Will stay there again next time we're in Pucallpa.CordulaMexico

The restaurant has some of the best food in the city and I am grateful to the chef for making me pasta primavera (with lots of fresh vegetables). The hotel grounds are immaculately clean; the staff is friendly, accommodating and helpful. I received one of the best massages I have ever had (and I say this as a practicing massage therapist!).
