We staid for the weekend. It was so good, with the snow. Durbuy center is very small and you can go through it in half a day or 1 day even. Although if you like walks in the nature and other activities, like horse riding or kayaking, it is nice to enjoy even more, on a long weekend or so. Very beautiful ancient town with a castle. It was lovely to walk through the winding streets looking at the old shops selling local produce. With a good mix of both old historic and sympathetically added modern properties it’s very much a tourist hot spot. A little medieval village from the XIV century,...
A little medieval village from the XIV century, representative of the area, laid down in a valley on the river bank. A picturesque view of a river, rocks, and a castle. It is called the smallest city that exists as its rights were gained in 1333 and the street structure with the layout dates from then. What makes an impression is that all the houses are built from stones with thick walls and small windows. There are many good restaurants and nicely located terrasse to sit and relax at good food or coffee.

We had everything needed in the kitchen and nice experience at the large balcony where we had our coffee. Very easy way to get our key from the lock box and 10 min. access to Durbuy and local supermarkets. Our host Kitty had prepared a nice welcome present - a red wine bottle and some snacks.
