Location viewing the beach was unbeatable, absolutely loved having wine and looking out at the boats with the crystal blue water. They had a wonderful private section of the beach with comfortable lounge chairs with umbrellas.

The staff were extremely friendly, accomodating, helpful. Both Antonius, a professional diver and his assistant, Eftychia ("happiness" in greek) were welcoming and gave great advice to our inquiries about the island of Serifos. If you want diving, Antonius is your man in Havana!!! The place is in a convenient location and an excellent value. All facilities work as advertised and our room was a modern design and extremely clean. I have seen reviews that showed it as dark. It is not dark at all. There are numerous restaurants and Cafes nearby with great food. The beach is a one minute walk. The staff is deeply honest and will look after your things with classic Greek hospitality. Be kind as a guest and to all you meet and you will be welcome as a visitor. Enjoy!!!

Livadi is the sort of place you see in films (Mama Mia, Shirley Valentine) but don’t expect ever to visit. We trundled our suitcases off the ferry and along the main (only) street past fishing boats and restaurants with tables on the narrow sandy beach. Yachts bobbed in the bay. Nothing much else was happening. That was the beauty of it. The only regular bus service takes you slowly up the very steep hill from the port to the village of Hora…..or you can try walking up on the old mule track, but only if you’re pretty fit. Hora itself is surely one of the prettiest villages in the Cyclades with stunning views. Beyond Hora, the 2 main attractions of Serifos are its beaches (numerous, beautiful, sandy, warm water) and its hiking trails (spectacular but some better waymarked than others - buy a hiking map in a Livadi supermarket). A beautiful real Greek town. Excellent restaurants, bakeries supermarkets pharmacy. Regular bus up to Chora, a must visit village. Port, ferries so close and convenient. I met helpful, lovely local people. There is some great looking accommodation close to town, beach and garden settings. Don't stay above restaurants as noisy.O'Connell - 10Scored 10

Best place to stay if you don't have or rent a vehicle. Buses run frequently from the port to Chora, and from another small plateia to various beautiful beaches. The beach of Livadion is great, and the lovely beach of Livadakia just around the corner. Lots of great restaurants and cafe/bars in the harbor, but it is also worth walking a little further around the bay to Stamatis restaurant, which serves traditionally Greek food excellently prepared. Their fish soup was the best I've had.

Stay in Livadion for a choice of bars and restaurants. There are 2 very large beaches one right in the town and the other a very short walk. Even the spectacular beaches of Agios Sostis and Lia Beach are only about 35 minutes walk away. Take the bus (1.8 Euros) up to the Chora and then take the spectacular walk (wide path with steps) back.
