Wetherly Inn & Spa in Ganges provides adults-only accommodations with pool with a view, a garden, and a terrace.

The Inn grounds were extraordinary from the amazing gardens to the pond and waterfalls in the creek. So many cozy nooks to sit in to read a book or have a glass of wine. We enjoyed the location outside of town as it was so quiet and private. The hosts were attentive, friendly and saw to your every need. Our room was beautiful and spotless. Took advantage of the wonderful soaker tub. Breakfast was excellent and loved all the homemade touches and use of fruit/berries on the property.

The location is special. It is up a very steep road which lends to the amazing views from the property, like breathtaking! The mountains, the Cascades, the Georgia Strait - it's stunning. Owners are very attentive and thoughtful. The check-in and checkout times were the best there is 3pm check in and 11:15 checkout! Great coffee is supplied along with granola & almond milk. Thistle Dew Cottage, hotel in Ganges

Thistle Dew Cottage is located in Ganges, just a 5-minute walk from Salt Spring Golf & Country Club and 4.8 miles from Long Harbour – Ferry Terminal.

There was a lovely selection of fresh fruit waiting for us on arrival, and the fridge had things like milk, cream, juice and eggs. The pantry had a collection of useful items including canned soup and other packaged goods. You could easily make breakfast and lunch with the supplies on hand if you did not want to venture out. The cottage is quaint with a generous sized bathroom. The beds were comfortable. It is very much a cottage, not a hotel, with lots of personal touches and objects throughout. The cidery restaurant is within walking distance, and the path will take you into Ganges if you want to get some exercise by bike or on foot.

There are lots of quaint shops, cafes and restaurants. There is a public library in case you need a place to hang out for awhile on a rainy day. The market takes place on Saturdays. There is a great games store (Foxes) if you want to pick something up to play with the family while in town. There are a couple of thrift stores in case you need to pick up any extra clothing items that you don't necessarily want to bring home. Be aware of the hours for the restaurants. We were surprised to arrive on a Friday night (late April) to discover that a number of pizza places were closed.

Ganges is an interesting small town on a beautiful island.

Ganges is an interesting small town on a beautiful island. The people are open and welcoming and the prices are still manageable. With all the wonderful local produce and products we hoped the cuisine would be slightly better and there would be more choices. The Saturday market is a great addition to the excitement of the island.

Ganges has a number of restaurants and coffee shops but in many cases hours are somewhat limited (likely due to staff shortages at this time). There is plenty going on (including the busy Saturday market) as well as a variety of outdoor activities available to warrant a 3 day or longer stay. We have stayed in or near Ganges a number of times, and plan to return at least once each year, hopefully more.

Ganges is a lovely little walkable town But parking can be a problem. Lots of really cute little shops and eating spots. Really nice marina setting with areas to sit and enjoy the view. Fascinating history and a ton of scenic drives within minutes of the village. Saturday market has an incredible mix of crafts, food, and interesting local handiwork. We made breakfast of it with some amazing local pastries, bread, potstickers and coffee. Sat in the adjacent park and enjoyed the ambience. The perfect ending to a couple lovely days in the area. We drove all over the island and enjoyed the views from one end to the other. Went biking at Ruckle farm, had an amazing lunch at the Rocksalt café, sampled craft beer, goat cheese, local moonshine and met many very friendly local folks. Really a wonderful way to spend our anniversary getaway.

We had a room facing the water and marina that had very comfortable chairs and a small table and chairs so you could have a snack or cocktail outside...so it was a great perch to appreciate the surroundings. (View in picture) Net net, we felt SO welcome and appreciated. The staff could not have been more accommodating. The restaurant, Woodly's is quite good. Lots of options for breakfast - and very generous servings. Dinner options were plentiful with very interesting additional entrees,

Central location on Saltspring Island. Less than 10 minutes to Ganges. Rustic charm. Excellent wood for the fireplace provided daily. Very comfortable bed. Kitchenette well stocked with an good assortment of utensils. Full sized fridge with freezer and ice cube trays. Filtered drinking water in seperate faucet was very nice. Resort hot tub wasn't huge, 6 person max, but it was warm, clean and not over chlorinated. The towels provided for the hot tub were very soft. Overall good value.

The hostess was welcoming and gracious. She provided an orientation to the facilities when we arrived and was helpful with any questions we had. Both mornings she prepared a lovely breakfast and the coffee was excellent! She told us where to buy it and we came home with a bag of Salt Spring Island coffee beans to enjoy at home. We would certainly recommend this Bed and Breakfast to friends.

The whole B&B is thoughtfully and beautifully presented. Our room was perfectly clean, the bed and linens were divinely comfortable, and the reservable private sauna and hot tub are a special perk! Breakfast was incredible, and Michelle accommodated our dietary restrictions while serving a hearty and delicious meal in a lovely dining space. Very walkable to and from the heart of Ganges.

Len was very helpful and friendly. He had a binder of tips and best places to visit. There are board games and a tv in the dining area. Short walk to Ganges city centre.
