It's set in a beautiful part of the world and a really pleasant village.
The staff were amazing - very friendly.
The rooms were really clean indeed and freshened each day.
You must try the Norfolk Adder cider if you like cider. It's very nice indeed from the draught.
Food was fantastic. Freshly cooked and served on hot plates which ch is not something you get everywhere and mak s w difference.
I will return for sure whenever I am in the area.

One of the few hotels etc in the area which didn't allow pets, which was good, so a real plus. Hotel was very easy to find and not far to walk into the town, which was handy as breakfast wasn't available, but was still a very good price.

Watton is a lovely little village with everything you need within a short walk from the property. Tesco’s, cafes, bakery, takeaways and smaller convenience stores make up the high street for Watton and for motorcycle enthusiasts, there’s even a Triumph dealership!

The High Street has a good selection of shops, - not full of charity shops like so many other Norfolk towns, a great little museum in the town hall, there are a couple of pubs, parking on the main road outside the shops was easy and free, there is a fair bit of history in the town, check out the 340 year old clock tower building...
visit the site of the old airfield and memorial, then maybe use Watton as a base to set out from to visit the nearby towns of Swaffham, Dereham and maybe even Norwich.

We went to this location to make a "sentimental journey" back to my husbands mother's roots. He also went to school here for a brief time when he was 8 years old. The little museum was charming & answered many of our questions about the area. One of the docents there, George, was happy to provide us with additional information. There's not much here for the tourist to buy but there is an incredible and fascinating antique clock store in the center of town. The owner here was also happy to share his knowledge & history of the area. The town was much as my husband remembered and the people were friendly and welcoming.
The cottage is super well equipped. You will find everything you might need even torches for an evening walk. The little fire place (easy to light because it is gas oven) makes it even more comfortable. The neighbour is very friendly and there is a nice little pub within walking distance.
Watton has a nice bakery and everything else you can buy in Tescos.
We loved it there and might consider coming back to Watton and the Willow Cottage on our next trip to England.
Situated at the western edge of Watton, which makes it an ideal, centrally located base of operations for exploring the many attractions and historical sites in Norfolk and Suffolk. Has a large open area for parking cars or recreational vehicles (including a charging point for EVs), which definitely can't be said for the majority of properties we considered. We stayed for a fortnight (exactly 2 weeks) and couldn't have been happier.
Lovely rooms behind a traditional British pub on the edge
of Watton town. Very quiet location, pub food was great,
owner and staff very friendly and helpful. Keys for each
room were yours to keep for the week so no need to
stop by a desk each time you come and go which was
appreciated. nice simple free breakfast included, hot
breakfast and dinner available in the pub.
The staff were super helpful and friendly. The bed was extremely comfortable and it was great value for money. I was let down by a different hotel in the area and booked this on the 30 minutes before arriving and was extremely happy that I was able to book here instead. Would 100% recommend this property to anyone planning to stay in the area.
Breakfast was a do-it-yourself bread (toaster provided) and cereal affair in our room. It was OK though and we didn't want to pay £11 (!) Neach for a cooked breakfast. Room had a nice large comfortable bed. The en-suite toilet/shower was tiny but worked well and had a heated mirror - rare in budget hotels - a very nice touch.
The breakfast was as advertised and was perfectly suited to our needs, the location was great for what we wanted to do while in Norfolk and within easy reach of bigger towns and the city. Clean comfortable bed offered a goods nights sleep
Staff were excellent ,friendly and helpful.
Situated in a very quiet location. We were stopping overnight as we were going to thetford forest for a concert....25 minutes to travel from the accommodation.
The location was great, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The Apartment was better than we thought. such a great outlook onto the course and provides easy access to other Norfolk amenities.
the staff were brilliant. Danielle was so welcoming and helpful and the night porter Simon and lady who did breakfast (sorry didn’t get her name) a credit to the hotel.
