My toddler loved ' Hugo Best' (the hotel themed mascot ) , however we only seen Hugo once for 15 minutes the whole week at 10:15pm on our 1st night when he made a guest appearance , and I got a week of wheres Hugo?? for all the merchandise you promote for "Hugo" my feedback would be that he/she makes more of an appearance ( perhaps during the day & at nights) , might help shift the merchandise too

FAQs about hotels in Salou
On average, 3-star hotels in Salou cost 391 zł per night, and 4-star hotels in Salou are 514 zł per night. If you're looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel in Salou can on average be found for 1,966 zł per night (based on Booking.com prices).
Like all Costa Dorada resorts, Salou has a fantastic beach and fun watersports. But it’s the wide, palm-lined promenade that really makes it stand out. Boutiques and exclusive restaurants line its western end, while in the east the bay curves to a point where a sculpture leans out to sea. Head there for lovely views of the sandy beach and distant mountains.
Further round the coast towards Cap Salou the beach becomes rocky coves, whilst inland is PortAventura, Spain’s most visited theme park. This huge complex includes rides and rollercoasters in themed zones, and a waterpark with slides, flumes and pools galore. Also here is Lumine, a golf club boasting 2 courses designed by Greg Norman.
Next door is Port Halley shopping centre which also has a 3D cinema and bowling alley. The best shopping in Salou though is in the old town, where designer shops stay open until late.
Other Salou attractions include the dancing Font Illuminosa fountains, Bosc Aventura’s high ropes, and Aquopolis - a great waterpark for younger children. Although the town has plenty of arcades, clubs and bars, peace and quiet can be found.
Reus Airport is the nearest and it’s around 20 minutes’ drive from there to the apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Salou bookable on Booking.com.

Salou is a lovely place, lots to do but like most tourist places the shops sell pretty much the same thing , it's a good idea to check them all out though as they all offer different prices for similar items.
We found that at night time there was lots of groups of young people around which for two women it was a little off putting, That's just our personal opinion.

Quiet area good for eating and relaxing.
Quiet area good for eating and relaxing. Panders to tourists a bit, so try to eat in more local restaurants if you want better value and tastier food. I would try to avoid eating anywhere along the beach as a lot of them are within the same chain/group which serve a practically identical menu (restaurants like bamboo, boca boca, etc) and their prices are quite expensive for what you get (food is average and drinks watered down). A few days here is plenty to relax, but any more might leave you bored. There were plenty of little supermarkets for essentials, and I would recommend grabbing a light breakfast at any of the michaelangelo locations! It's super cheap and yummy.
The best place we ate for dinner was hands down restaurant tahiti so definitely check that out for great paella.
Beware that there is a monopoly situation on taxis (uber is banned) so taxis are quite pricey (€32 for 15/20 minute ride)

Everything about Salou is great.
Everything about Salou is great. Over the last 25 years been 7 ot 8 times. I can't fault anything about it. Good beaches, great hotels and very family orientated. It's such a pleasant place. The airport is close and then there is Port Aventura world which is without doubt the best theme park in Europe. Then there is lovely places adjacent to it in Cambrills, Taragona and La Pineda.
The night life is also very good. No I can't fault this place and hope to return soon..
The location is perfect, it's beachfront so the view is amazing.
There was an amazing perfect lady working in the store in the hotel, she was very nice and helpful. They should definitely promote her or offer a better paying job, the only person there who not only worked bt was also very friendly and nice.
The animator was really good, they should promote him.
The bartenders and the waitresses in the bar were amazing.
Did not expect this room to be anything but average.. However, when we entered.... The room exceeded my expectations. It was clean and tidy. Fantastic view over the sea and probably one of the best sunsets I've seen.. this hotel deserves the name Salou Sunset.
We were on 7th floor corner. Above entrance.
Rooms were to a high standard as was the bathroom. Well recommended.
Close to the beach and bars.
This lovely Portaventure themed hotel is situated 1000 meters from Portaventure and Ferrari Land theme Park.
The Beds were very cosy and the adjoining family room was just perfect for our family mid-term break.
The Hearty Breakfast was very plentiful and welcoming each morning, the Bar was clean and open and the main reception area foyer had plenty chairs to rest tired bones
Very clean hotel, and the pool area was well managed. I liked that we did not have to rush out in the morning to get our towels out like many other hotels. The hotel is in a quiet area and has close access to a lovely sandy beach, shops, bars and restaurants .The hotel is a short bus ride to the centre of Salou were it is very busy and noisy, plenty to see to pass an evening.
Hotel decor and theming was lovely and not very crowded.
Lovely staff and location. Great for access to the park wuth your own dedicated entrance (5 mins walk and your in Wild West Land)
Room was spacious and beds decent.
Buffet breakfast and Dinner was better than expected but obviously not 5 star All inclusive.

The hotel was outstanding? Breakfast was fantastic, staff was so friendly, pool was 5 star.
Balcony and room was huge and the bed was super king. Could not fault one aspect of the hitel from start to finish. We will be back.
The beach was really nice, and very friendly for children. We did some snorkeling, and saw a lot of fish. The breakfast was good, and well organized in spite of the huge amount of guests this hotel accomodates.
The location is perfect to visit all the zone of Pineda and Salou. Also, it is very close to the beach and the zone is extremely quiet.
The hotel is clean, the rooms are comfortable.
Is not very far from Portaventura Park, you can walk easily. In room was a very big bed, a lot towels, small fridge/minibar. In hotel was jacuzzi inside and sauna/steam room.
