The onsen and private onsen was so amazing and magical. Also the view from my room was amazing because it was snowing and everything about this property was magical.

Tamakiya Ryokan is located in Tokamachi, 24 km from Yuzawa and 20 km from Nozawa Onsen. Each room at this ryokan is air conditioned and is equipped with a flat-screen TV. The staff are experts in hospitality and friendly. They arranged a shuttle to pick us up from the local station. The Japanese style room is so inviting and comfortable. The dinner was so good I'm speechless. The wine and sake pairings were fantastic. Soaking in your own hot spring after dinner, while taking in the view is divine. If you have the chance to stay in this area, put yourself in their care. You won't regret it.

The food was simply amazing, dinner being one of the best meals I’ve ever had, no dish over or under seasoned and exquisitely presented. The service was also very attentive.

There are so many snow resorts nearby, it is very comfortable for relaxing in the hotel ‘s onsen, and then have a taste of the local food of the hotel after skiing. It is especially worth mentioning that the staff of the hotel is particularly enthusiastic, offering to provide shuttle services to the nearby station, snow resorts…When we need to go shopping, they also warmly send us to there. When we left, the staff gave my child two bathrobes.

The staff were Very kind and welcoming. They found out it was our anniversary and made us a special dessert! We have all kinds of food restrictions and they took them all into consideration. The room was amazing and had a beautiful veiw. The food was very good and all locally sourced. 100 percent would recommend this ryokan! The onsen in the room was so peaceful and the common one had a view to the mountains

Hotel Yuzawa Yuzawa Denkiya provides free shuttle service to Echigo Yuzawa Station, a 5-minute drive away. It offers Japanese-style rooms with free Wi-Fi. Well-maintained, amazing food, transportation, and stay accommodations, great hospitality especially when they made us borrow their equipment for free. It felt like they were looking out for us like a family.

Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Mount Tanigawa, Hotel Futaba lies on the high plains of the historical Echigo-Yuzawa Onsen hot spring area. Dinner and breakfast was fabulous with each offering a vast variety of food items. The outdoor baths in our rooms was truly an incredible experience that we'll always remember.

Yuzawa Grand Hotel is within a 2-minute walk from Echigo Yuzawa Train Station and the Sake Museum. It offers 3 public baths, a massage service and free parking on site. Location: it was across from Echigo-Yuzawa station and it was easy to get to the hotel. Rooms: they were spacious and the futons got made every day. Onsen: fantastic onsen facilities that made our stay more pleasant. Breakfast: good variety of Western and Japanese food. The restaurant was big and accommodated everyone. Coffee and amazake were provided free of charge which was a lovely gesture.
