Very serine and relaxing.
Basically equipped with all needed utensils and close to all amenities.
It was clean and well stocked with small added extras like rusks, coffee, milk and even some breakfast cereals and seasonings.
Although attached to the main house, it felt detached and private.

The town is very clean and has all the major retailers there and a few restaurants. Many of the houses are beautifully maintained with lovely gardens. The Shipwreck Museum is excellent and well worth the low entrance fee.

Bredasdorp is known as the capital of the Overberg District.
Bredasdorp is known as the capital of the Overberg District. It is a medium size town with all major shopping centres, eg Shoprite, Spar, Mr Price, PEP etc. A couple of fast food outlets, eg KFC and some Pizza and Fish and Chips take away shops. Other interesting curious shops. The local population definately gives the town a flair of it's own. The town is in close driving vacinity of other picturesque and seaside towns, eg Arniston, Struisbaai and Cape Agulhas (the southernmost tip of Africa).

The town offers some nice shops like the "Kapula Ceramics" and the Café/Restaurant "Bredasdorp Square" in a beautiful setting. Bredasdorp is the ideal stop over for visiting the most southern point of Africa, "L'Agulhas". It is also close to De Hoop, a stunning Nature Reserve with almost white dunes (one hour drive on gravel road!) For nature lovers the peaceful "De Mond Nature Reserve" is also worth a visit. Nearby are the old village of Elim and Napier with some good restaurants. Another destination would be Arniston with the "Waenhuiskrans Cave" and a nice beach.
It was such a pity that we stayed for only one night! Anton is very welcoming and caring host, he made us a very nice breakfast and gave us some tips about our further travel.
The room and the hotel was very cosy and pretty, with lots of small details - it felt like everything is decorated with great love and attention. Would definitely come here again and highly recommend to everyone!
The sunrise, sunset and farm feel was just what we needed. We day tripped to struisbaai and waenhuiskrans and then came back to adventure walk and row on the dam. We found alot to do inside as well, I was reminded how to knit. Our boys enjoyed playing chess. 2 nights were definitely too short of a stay. We definitely want to check out the other property soon.
Very clean room, and nice and quiet. Very nice bathroom. Very friendly owners. We stayed overnight for the Voet-van-Afrika marathon, and I was allowed to come back after check-out for a shower after the marathon, without extra cost - very nice of them! Bredasdorp is small, so everything within walking distance. Very good price.
Perfect, out of the way location, with a view to die for. Though off the grid, the cottage is simple yet stylish with every amenity one would expect from a farm stay getaway. Plenty of space for my dog to roam and run within sight of the spacious front stoep. Loved it!
We felt at home in the fresh, tidy, and cozy cottage. We enjoyed the fireplace and the beautiful scenery of the grainfields with the moon and stars through the main window. The freshly baked farm bread with butter was a winner!
We loved the farm atmosphere and being the only people around. We could braai even on the days it was cold and raining, because there were braai facilities outside and inside.
As a tour guide it was the perfect spot to end up for the night after dropping my guest at De Hoop lodge.
take a nice walk around the farm before the sun comes down
