The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The room was huge, well decorated and had a lovely big bath tub. The staff were absolutely incredible. I unfortunately didn't get either of their names but the ladies at the front desk were so helpful, polite and made our day. They helped us out when our flight was delayed. We got some complimentary wine with the room and generally had a lovely experience. The restaurants were also really good. Would 1000% recommend a stay here.

Location was great. The lodge serves breakfast so it was handy that it was close to the malls with restaurants and shops.

Durbanville is a great community of very lovely wine farms and a town nearby. Delightful bustling restaurants and shopping. the wine farms are exceptional and the food served is brilliant. Favourite places to eat Bossa and La Romantica in Meerendal and Cassia at Nitida wine farm also.
we hired a car and managed to get around with a vodacom sim card which we didnt buy at airport (more expensive) if you there for a week or more and use whatsapp and facebook get 4gb or more. we found being from overseas it was easiest this way. Always check when you landing to collection of vehicles at car hire airport. other favourite resto was Damhuis in Melkbosrand wow incredible and also Onse huisie for breakfast on the sea. i would avoid school holidays as it is too busy then

As a first time it was interesting. The view of the mountains was amazing. The situation of the hotel was lovely, being close to the hospital. Very restful. Maybe a list of shops and map of where they are situated would help.

We ate at Tigers Milk, pricey but food was good. Went to Tyger mall, that's a 2 day trip! only walked around the top part the down stairs is for another day.
We booked accomodation 10 minutes away, parking easy and seemed safe. One ways a little difficult and getting in the right lane nor always easy.

Durbanville is in the heart of the city with many malls and restaurants all around you but at the same time if you stay at a resort like Ruslamere then its almost the best of 2 worlds - peace tranquility but only 5 min away from buzzing city malls and shops

The mountain bike trails at the various wine farms in the vicinity have been so appealing. Unfortunately my stay was for pre-hospital admission, so I didn't have time to explore all the nuances of Durbanville.

A hidden little gem in the peaceful surroundings. The rooms are exquisite like the whole interior design that makes you feel warm and welcome. A truly beautiful property. We had a wonderfully comfortable room that opened up directly into the garden, so tranquil and relaxing. The staff are very welcoming and keen to help your stay be amazing which it was. The food was fantastic and very tasty. I will definitely be booking this guest house again.
Although there are always small improvements possible (room keys that look like toys, or sound insulation not always at the top...), the Petit Chateau is really a nice place. What matters is the comfort, cleanliness, hospitality and human qualities of the hosts, and you can find all this in "le Petit Chateau". In addition, the area is very well located, close to the center of Durbanville. So we recommend this place!
Excellent accommodation in the heart of Durbanville, Cape Town. The 3 of us stayed for 20 nights. Lovely and clean. Super comfy beds. Great kitchen amenities. Courtesy tea, coffee and milk particularly appreciated throughout our stay. Lovely big bathroom. Equipped for load shedding - emergency lighting and gas hob. Thank you for our comfortable stay!
Good location, with beautiful views! Basic necessaties required for self catering, beds are comfy and animals such as alpacas, donkeys and sheep roam around the cottage, much to the delight of my children. Additional firewood was also provided during extended power outage which was much appreciated.
3 Critical criteria for any property/hotel: cleanliness, a good shower and comfortable bed. Beds were excellent, place super clean, and a spacious bathroom/shower. Allowed late check out on our day of departure.
Amazing location, right in the centre of Durbanville. easy check in process & the apartment was very spacious & well furnished with aircon for the hot summer days.
location was good for durbanville, bar man was very helpful in getting us a uber/taxi and was lovely. Hotel did look like it would have been nice in the past
Top notch, in very aspect… this is a 7 star guest house. Smart large TV, luxury bathroom, comfortable clean bed, fridge, coffee, private garden… immaculate
