The beach was a great beach, but I didn't get to enjoy it because of the weather. There were many great restaurants near by. Lots of things to do. I wish there had been more live entertainment available. We were there the lasts week in April so things may have been a little slow at that time.

Wanted to take the kids on a quick spring break trip.
Wanted to take the kids on a quick spring break trip. Took the kids to the Alligator farm which was only 7 min from the hotel. Decided to book while we were at the alligator farm. We lucked up and had availability at the hotel. Very pleased with the location and comfort. Just a short drive to salt life restaurant. Great atmosphere with live music. Ice cream store across the street. Beach is also across the street.

Beautiful location with lots of bars and restaurants nearby.
Beach is beautiful. Spent time on the pier and spotted lots of dolphins.
Under two hours drive from Orlando which makes it a perfect location to get away from all the biz of theme parks.

Beautiful, clean town, split into two parts.
Beautiful, clean town, split into two parts. The historic district with plenty of sites to see, along with shopping and restaurants galore! Wear your best walking shoes and come hungry! The other part of St. Augustine is spred out. You have the beach, great restaurants, golf, shopping and much more, all spread out. St. Augustine was much bigger than I had expected. Getting around is easy. Want some good food, I recommend the Metro Diner, the A1A Beachside Diner, and definitely do not miss miss Viola's Pizza, Pasta and Seafood Restaurant for the best Italian food in St. Augustine!

The beach is wide and the dunes are lovely.
The beach is wide and the dunes are lovely. You can almost feel the history there. There are waves but not too bad, keeps some of the jellyfish blooms and other nasties in check. It's really picturesque. Anyone who loves the beach should go at least once - St. Augustine is the epicenter of all things cool - pirates, spooks, tons of history, beautiful beaches. You can surf or boogie board if you're into it.
DO NOT MISS DOWNTOWN. Tons of great shops and attractions. Do the lighthouse at least once. Don't sleep on the alligator farm - it's great, and the wax museum and the pirate museum are both good options if you have little ones. The torture museum is neat if you don't - pay the three bucks for the miniature museum that's attached.
The cathedral downtown is free and it is awe-inspiring - like walking into a piece of sacred art.
Downsides - it is a bit of a walk to get to the waterline, even from the hotel. Watch out for riptides. Vehicles are allowed on the beach - they have a dedicated lane far back on the sand but it's easy to forget that you have to look both ways when you're beaching it.
Seriously. Go at least once. You won't regret it.

I was so excited of my trip to Saint Augustine beach that I was counting the days. We finally checked in with my family and had a great manager check me in. Nothing can change the day right?
Nope.
I dealt with rude staff members, calling to get extra stuff for the room where I didn’t get it, I would have to go to the front desk and literally saying, “so can I have some extra towels and toilet paper if that’s okay?”
They were quite unprofessional to the point I had to speak with a manager… twice.
My advice: I was told great advice by a manager there which was to come during off peak season when they are less busy.
Hmmm… correct me if I’m wrong, but shouldn’t it be the same experience or possibly better, especially during peak season??
Where each night is 500 dollars a night???
I will never return here again. Even checking out was a hassle!
Run! Don’t look here during peak season y’all!

Great location, fine, helpful staff on duty 24/7. Delicious breakfast included and delivered to your room . Heated pool open til 11pm reinforces resort title. Beach towels provided, bring own beach chairs. Good restaurants close by. Can purchase Town hop on hop off trolley tix at hotel desk. Pick up for bus into city in front of hotel with city trolley tix. Beautiful landscaping on property, extra clean rooms.
This hotel is a nostalgia trip for me. I stayed here with my family in the early sixties. It is right on the beach and close to a number of good restaurants. Breakfast is brought to your room which is nice but I wished I had gotten a room with a balcony where we could have eaten it. It was a little cold to use the pool but it is a beautiful Spanish tiled pool.
It was on the beach and close to the lighthouse and also to the historic district of St. Augustine. The unit was very clean and we loved the art decor in the room and the hotel. We arrived on Thanksgiving evening and had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at Santiago hotel restaurant that is next to the lobby and has wonderful food and outstanding breakfast.
This place is not worth $338 a night on week days. And in May. I was there Tuesday to Sat morning. There were 30 people tops.
5 week nights costed me $1800.US. I could’ve got a week all inclusive in Punta Cana Bahia Principe.
USA hotels are too expensive and overrated.
Location, Location, Location! A very short walk to the beach! The hotel room was generously sized, clean with comfy sheets and accommodating, friendly staff.
Highly recommend the breakfast and dinner at La Cocina Intl, located inside the hotel.
the room was a good size and was super clean. The pool and gym facilities were kept clean. The front desk was extremely helpful in finding a place to rent beach equipment. The hotel is a great location it is extremely close to the beach.
The hotel has very few amenities. It is pet friendly but for a large fee. There is no coffee in the lobby and the restaurant is expensive. The building is old and there are many areas that could use some updating. The room was nice.
Great location across from the beach. This is located in Saint Augustine Beach. I like that the sink is outside the bathroom, so someone can shower or use the toilet while another person can be using the sink and mirror.
Vanessa at the front desk is an asset to the hotel. Having the Sunset Grille ("somewhere along A-1A") an easy walk across the street is a definite plus. Delicious food, cheerful servers, good size outside eating area.
Staff, restaurant, pool were great. We’ve stayed here several times and this is our favorite hotel in St. Augustine Beach. Nicki and Mason at the front desk were especially gracious and helpful. Good job.
Right across the road from the beach, walking distance to restaurants and ice cream. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Room had microwave and fridge and was spacious.
