Comfort Inn & Suites, hotel in Newark

Located 7 miles north of Interstate 70, this hotel is a 2-minute drive from the Indian Mound Mall. It serves breakfast every morning and features an indoor pool.

The facility exceeded our expectations. The beds were so comfy and the blankets and sheets for so much better than your typical hotel. So so soft! Melissa at the front desk was absolutely amazing! We had a group of 10&11 year old baseball players there and she was fantastic with all of us and our boys. Would highly recommend!

The weather in Newark is rainy and wet.

The weather in Newark is rainy and wet. Recently approved UNESCO site honouring the civilization of indigenous people who lived in the Land of Rivers (Ohio). Probably the main reason people come here is to revisit where they grew up. Newark downtown has a resurgence of activity, but the good times here were in the 19th and early 20th century.

This is a huge hotel with nice big rooms. Very well kept and clean rooms. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was super friendly. 3 restaurants on site so you don't even have to leave if you don't want to. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

1922 On the Square (a recommendation from The Buxton Inn in Granville) was excellent. It offered creative freshly-made options like thin truffled fries, roasted Brussel sprouts, mesclun with light oil and vinegar dressing and fresh salmon cooked just under well, crisp on the outside and perfect. This was a pleasant surprise as the kitchens were unexpectedly closed for several days at Cherry Valley Inn. We didn’t have time to tour the city, but the silhouette of the square clock tower was majestic!

It was a nice little town to visit with a choice of restaurants to choose from and appeared to have entertainment options available on the Friday night in May when we visited. Ours was just a one night stay prior to a college graduation so we did not have time to explore the other options. We felt safe being two women traveling alone.
