Room was stylish and comfortable, large by Netherland standards. The bed was firm with nice sheets and a superior shower. Staff was lovely. We enjoyed going into the bar for a drink.

the house, the room, the breakfast and above all the friendliness and availability of the host and in giving advice and tips.
Fantastic steam railway - lovely trip thorough the countryside and linked to a boat ride. Everything you would expect of a historic town with waterfront and good transport connections and modern amenities.

What a stunning and interesting town to visit and we already want to go back. So much history and the most beautiful buildings. Lots of great restaurants and all the shops you could need. Easy to charge our car and the nearby parking in a parking garage was cheap. The steak we had for dinner at Heavens Hotel was the best I had in a long time.
Hoorn has lots of green space and you can do lots on foot. Easy walk to the marina, a large park and a huge swimming area on the Hoornse Hop close to town that seems to be newly created and will start opening slowly bit by bit from July. I participated in a big event and on the cycling leg I saw a lot of the beautiful surrounding area, so we will return for a more leisurely visit in the near future.

Hoorn is a small village about 30 minutes northwest of Amsterdam. Our accommodations were located in a boat, just outside of Hoorn. A nature trail near our boat took us into town via a forested area with a good path for walkers and bikers. On Saturday morning, Hoorn has a small market, many backeries and a few cafes were open. Many cyclist going through town.

Hoorn is a charming town with a rich history and lots of old Dutch architecture and canals. There is a small boat marina, main historic square, pedestrian shopping streets, lots of lovely cafes, bars and restaurants. Its a great base for visiting Old Holland and also a good alternative to staying in Amsterdam, which is only 30 min away by train. The bus station is in front of the train station and easy to use to visit Edam, Volendam etc. Its also easy to reach Alkmaar and Zaanse Schans from Hoorn via train. From Schiphol airport is less than an hour by direct train.

What an amazing town just a short train ride from Amsterdam.
What an amazing town just a short train ride from Amsterdam. Beautiful streets to walk around and harbour front. The food was amazing and learnt there is a Dutch equivalent to Spanish Tapas. As always friendly and very helpful people to show you around. First time in Hoorn, but not the last.

Lovely old town with great center, unknown to me previously, but I will return. Has an old-world charm with modern amenities, and great architecture in centre; it is fabulously landscaped around the coast and canals to great effect. Plenty eating out and drinking choices, shopping to be had.
One of the finest hotels we have ever stayed in. Incredible amount of $$ spent to beautifully renovate a church. Unique in so many ways. Must see it to believe it. Cherish at the front desk went out of her way to help us with a serious issue with the river cruise company. She made several calls and saved us from real problems. Rooms were perfect. It is impossible for me to rate everything higher. It was incredible!!!!!
I stayed in a small apartment on the last floor. It is furnished with great care and aesthetic sense. A wonderful bathroom with shower and Iacuzzi. The windows are on each side with a view of the small port of Hoorn and also of the Markenmeer. I used the kitchen for breakfast and also for dinner. Really very comfortable and relaxing. A fantastic experience to close my journey through Holland!
I was contacted via WhatsApp en route to the hotel and provided with very helpful information.
Breakfast was a fairly basic choice and small in size, though OK for us.
The hotel is within walking distance of the railway station, though a short taxi ride is better should you have suitcases.
The hotel is located close to the town square where there are several bars/restaurants.
Location cannot be improved. Right in the middle of Hoorn.
We appreciated especially the cosy balcony with chairs to relax in the evening sun after a day of sightseeing.
Breakfast in the historic building of restaurant d Oude Waegh was very nice.
Room and bathroom very comfortable. Owners very friendly and helpfull.
Highly recommendable.
Downside was huge heatwave, and roomsbeing at the top as in many old town Dutch houses, very hot in the rooms. But there was an outside patio one floor up with a bit of shade and "recliners". Small private hotel, with personal service and very helpful. Excellent meal at "Eetcafe" clse by.
The hotel was close to the centre of Hoorn as well as from the rail and bus station. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The air con unit in the room was very useful as the rooms were warm due to some excellent weather!! The hotel was lovely and clean.
Hennie is very nice and wonderful host. She knows a lot about Holland, Hoorn, Amsterdam and is a great help at planning what to do. The place is clean. I liked the kitchen, so I could have some coffee and dinner by myself.
A perfect combination of the advantages on an apartment (space, a kitchen) and the advantages of a hotel (cleaning, breakfast). The staff was amazing. The location was great- central and beautiful. We loved every minute!
We could watch boats coming in and loading up after a day on the zuiderzee. There was a decent restaurant very close by. Used the washer and dryer. I could’ve used some directions on that though. Shower was very good.
Easy to get to the location. Local restaurant was awesome.
Ship was perfect with prefect weather. Casey made our exprecinve unforgettable. Thank you Captain and I am looking to come back and do it again.
Room was large and very well appointed. The spa bath was big enough for two. Staff were very hospitable. The restaurant for tea was excellent. Breakfast was basic continental breakfast.
The owners were super nice, the location is great and the room is clean.
The breakfast was varied and tasty (extra charge).
The hotel is 5min walking distance from the train station.
The staff was marvelous, they were super kind and friendly.
The hotel is really nice and the breakfast is perfect! In addition, it is close to the center😊
conveniently located near the square in Hoorn and away enough from main street to avoid crowd and noise. Beautiful themed room and comfortable all around
