Very busy. Don't think they have a capacity.
Very busy. Don't think they have a capacity. Be prepared to wait to view architecture - people queuing to get the perfect ‘gram’ picture. No info signs around the palace to explain anything but one way system seems to work well. In and out in about an hour and that’s with queuing to pay.

Difficult to avoid tourist groups, even in November.
Difficult to avoid tourist groups, even in November. They come in waves so sit in the sunshine and wait until they have passed on. We went round the palace a few times and took some lovely, uninpeded photos. Same with the beautiful Majorelle Gardens which are smaller and more packed at times. Worth the wait.

70 Dirhams to enter is not cheap and you will not spend more than an hour there. Good for seeing intricate Moroccan tiling, exquisite and intricate ceiling designs and understanding the background to some of the rituals.

Incredible works, very beautiful building, full of history.

I recommend you book for a guide, instead of doing a solo visit, so that you can have the insights behind the construction and the architecture, discover details you would not notice by yourself, hear about the lives of the monarchs who have made the greatness of the palace.

The palace is absolutely stunning, it truly resembles the architectural wonders of Marrakech (like Bahia palace or Madrasa Ben Youssef). The room was large and beds comfortable. Breakfast was buffet with lots of options.
Abdel was such an amazing & welcoming host. He went above & beyond by arranging reservations for lunch, dinner, & entertainment for us. The riad and our room was very spacious, clean & quiet! Location is very easy to access and right next to the Bahia Palace.
Excellent location. The hotel is just across from Quotibian and is less than 5 minutes walking distance from Jemaa el-Fnaa. Being inside Medina, although a little farther, you can still walk to Bahia Palace, if you are up to that extra stretch.
The staff at both dining hall and reception were very friendly and always around.
The dining are though the floors, tables etc. could be better was very well situated in an open terrace and very nice view to Qutobian.
I thought the value of Riad Alia was outstanding. I really appreciated the beautiful plaster work in the rooms and the affordable train pickup. They offer laundry services (10€ per load) and pretty good dinners (approx 16€ per person, if I remember right). The included breakfast was tasty and was actually a little too much food, in my opinion! Unbeatable proximity to Bahia Palace and the Jewish cemetery and synagogue.
Chaima, Ahmed, and the entire staff could not have been more hospitable. If we needed ANYTHING, they were there! Breakfast on the rooftop was an incredible experience with views of the sun rising over the mountains. Location was great... in the heart of the Medina, minutes walk from Bahia Palace, about a 20 minute walk from the main square.
Yasser, Fatima and her husband's kindness, care and hospitality, very helpful in all aspects. Great freshly made breakfast every morning. The room was cosy and clean. The location is just perfect, few minutes from Bahia Palace and 10 minutes walk to Jemma Fnaa Squqre. Had dinner on out last night and Chef Fatima cooking was really exquisite. Surely we will be back, highly recommended.
With an extremely courteous staff and a beautiful facility, Riad Azoulay was perfect for our stay. The breakfast was wonderful and the dinners were some of the most delicious meals we've eaten in a while. The Riad was walking distance to Bahia Palace, multiple marketplaces, and great little restaurants. The employees genuinely cared about the quality of our stay both in and out of the Riad and always checked on us to make sure we were enjoying our visit. Outstanding location and I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Marrakesh.
This is a marvelous riad in a perfect location. Once finding our way, which is always a challenge in Morocco's medinas, we were able to walk easily to every location we needed. The main square, the Bahia Palace, the medersa, the souks, everything was so convenient. Shama, who welcomed us and provided much appreciated assistance throughout our stay, is a star! And the breakfast was just fine in every respect.
